Peter Ostachinni, John Stewart and George - Nigerian Scammer trio!

Here is an email from a reader who was targeted by three different scammers:

I have recently been scammed of money by the Nigerian scammers and I would like to share some information.

I believe I was targeted by the same scammer on three different profiles on match.com. ( I am in Malaysia but have used match when I lived in the US ). The first profile called George ( was a single dad with a 5 yr old daughter, but there were obvious mistakes in what he was saying, blonde blue eyed and he insisted his mum was singaporean chinese). 2nd was John Stewart who said he grew up between US and UK but when I spoke to him he was brazilian. So that got dropped when I asked him who he really is. The 3rd one was quite sophisticated, very detailed, intelligent, consistent and called Peter Ostachinni. All 3 were involved in oil and gas. It sounded plausible as malaysia is big into oil and gas. So this 3rd one called Peter started slowly, emailing quite normal emails, and then it got more elaborate. his profile said he is divorced with a 7 yr old son. His ex wife is dead ( all three of them has dead ex wives ), parents are dead, son in the UK, and he s British in oil and gas. Then he gave his phone number and I gave mine. Then he called, he was on his way to Australia for a conference and talked to me on the way to the airport. Timed it right of the distance between hotel and airport. Then time it right again between flight distance and timing between Malaysian and Melbourne. Then it graduated to phone calls and yahoo messenger. Chatted at night and he called in the mornings and this happened every day. Charming, said I was the love of his life, everything he ever dreamt of, his one and only. Even sent flowers to my house. Then by the 7th day of this, he begged me to check a link for him. His bank account in NatWest. And gave me his password and username. I clicked on it and told him what was there. He wanted to transfer GBP 1.5 million and asked me to do the transfer myself. I refused.

Then he was supposed to visit Malaysia at the end of the week. Even sent me a confirmation of the hotel that I picked. In the middle of the night about 2 days he was supposed to visit me, he called to say his son is really sick and he has to get back to the UK. Very smart, timed it the length of time of non stop flights between Melbourne to London, and then called to say he landed. Said he would call again when he reached Manchester ( he is supposedly from there) and he has a manor in Manchester. When he got there he arranged for me to talk to his 7 yr old. A young boy that has an english accent came onto the phone and spoke to me a few times. He continued his charming twice a day phone call and then if he had time "chatted" on yahoo messenger.... and here goes... then he has to go to Africa to interview workers for his new project. on his way back to Malaysia... When asked why he said Nigerian and cameroonian workers are the cheapest in oil and gas so he has to go to Nigeria. Called to say good bye... then I got a call in the middle of the night to say that he was boarding and he brought Ken with him to Nigeria. Said he would call when he landed. So he called again to say he landed and explained that he wanted to bring Ken to surprise me. Then he called a few hours later to say he got mugged as he got out of his taxi and everything was taken.... so he said he has to go get things sorted out . An hour later he called back sheepishly asking if I could help him ... by sending money... USD 5000.... I did... he still continued to call to thank for the money and provide progress information. But after I sent the money I talked to a friend of mine and she got concerned and researched and found out all about the Nigerian scam. I have ceased all communication as this scam is one that would go on and on to reel in more money for him. So I am 5000 less and wiser and feeling terrible but I want to share my story because I believe I was targeted and this scammer is highly sophisticated. He used several profiles to test me out and to see which work for me and also to see what my psychological profile is like . He still continues to call though I have ignored all phone calls ( how about all of 31 times in a span of 36 hours) and is very tasteful in not asking for account information and is able to create drama, credibility, trust, and prey very well.

Vivian Nelson - Nigerian scammer

Here is an email from Vivian Nelson, who wrote me out of the blue and thinks I am a male and an idiot. I also posted the stupid flowers that Nigerian scammers like to put in their emails. You see these on an email, they are a Nigerian scammer. Here is the email:

How are you doing today? i hope you are fine. i am very happy for your replied at the mail i sent to you and i hope to have a good conversation with you. let me first of all reveal my self to you, i will appreciate the best of your honesty and sincerity after knowing more about me because i will really like us to have a strong and good relationship in-spite of anything (be it age,distance or color) because i have this feeling that you will not betray me after having in contact with you.

My names are Miss Vivian Nelson Age 24. ft 5/7. wt 65, i am the only daughter of ( Late Dr.Linus Nelson) from Ivory coast in West Africa sub region who died during a political conflict in my country in some years back. My father was the personal adviser to our former head of state. LATE GEN ROBERT GUEI. he was also chairman managing director ( ARUNA COCOA / DIAMONDS INDUSTRIES (PLC) in the capital of my country Abidjan, and he also exporting cocoa, diamonds, coppers, coffees, cobalt. My father was killed along side with my beloved mother on a cold blood one morning by some hoodlums,who parades themselves as political thugs which they accused my father of coup attempt (which he never did).I managed to escape for my dear life and ran into a neighboring country, Dakar the capital of (Senegal) where i am presently seeking asylum in the refugee camp called.(SOCIETY DU REFUGEE TAMACOUNDA DAKAR SENEGAL). My relatives ran away during the middle of the conflict and they are no where to be found which i lost contact with them.

The only person i have now is Rev.Peter Johnso, who is the Reverend Minister in charge of the church in this camp (CHRIST DU KING MISSION). He has been very nice to me since I came here but I am not living with him rather I am living in the Women's hostel. because the camp have two hostels one for men the other for women. (Six Million eaight hundred thousand dollars) in a leading Bank which he use my name (Miss Vivian Nelson) as the next of kin to the account. i also have with me death certificate and will certificate of my late father which I will send to you later.

I had contacted the bank and they ask me to search for a foreign partner who will stand as my trustee to assist me in transferring the fund because of my refugee status which has denied me of making the transaction by myself and the law of this country does not allow refugees to make any international transactions that is the reason why i have contacted you to assist me. However, i will like you to send me your full contact information below so that i will use them to introduce you to the bank first before i shall give you their contacts information so that you will contact them directly for confirmation of your acceptance to assist me in transferring the fund to your account.

This is a letter sent to us by a reader who encountered this Nigerian scammer from an internet dating site. She wanted us to print her letter to warn others. Here is the email:
Well, I always thought that I was an intelligent person, a professional, a person with morals and values and could size a person and see what he or she is all about. WRONG. I became a victim of an elaborate scam. He the scammer goes by the name of David Simon, if that is his real name. Web site Davesimonbkr@yahoo.com. Says he lives in Woodenville, Washington State. widower of 6 years with a daughter who is now 6 years old. Architect/Engineer. Business man travels extensively. Right now leaving Spain to the UK for a project with a Mall in renovation, soon will be flying to New Jersey to meet up with me, because he has found the woman he wants to meet face to face and start a serious relationship and that I appear to be that woman he has been searching for. Only one thing. He lost his wallet and briefcase in a taxi. Now he is stranded in a hotel in London with his daughter and he really hates to ask me to send him $300.00 just to get by. Until he can sorts things out. Only thing is within that week his daughter falls down the stairs in the hotel. Now he panics and states " I need $1800.00 to pay for the blood transfusion and doctors and states" Please, Please help me to save the life of my daughter, I can't lose her she is all I have."Well, eventually I send the money. He sends me his plane flight pass showing that he is coming to the USA so his daughter can receive proper medical care. Well, he says he's short and needs $5,300.00 for the ticket because the ticket he had expired and was unable to get the airline company to accept his old ticket. So, I send him the money, Suddenly, he and this person he befriended Paul Hudson who has been helping him in London are in a car crash, He's in the hospital with a concussion for 4 days. He needs money for the hospital and rehabilitation and the bill is $ 5,300. Well, I did not send it. He than wanted more and more money for the hotel bill. I found out from my sister who recognized his e-mail address on the internet and told me he is looking for females on flirtbox. I called him on it and he said that someone at the hotel was a jealous man who said that he saw me on that site and he had to join to make sure that I wasn't on it, He said " I realized that you were not on the site and that I had to fight him, I almost broke a bottle over his head" So, we made up. He always appeared to be concerned for my well fair, and saying what any woman wants to hear. " This is God's hand on us, He brought us together and I am so grateful for the angel that I want to marry. The one I have been looking for all my life etc..." This story went on for one year.

Then, I started putting the pieces of the puzzle together and felt that some things weren't right. When I would call him on it. he always had an explanation that appeared to be valid. But than taken into the bigger picture they just didn't add up. He asked me in one of our conversations if I was on the site we met. I stated"NO,I have no business on it since I met you." Than I asked if he was on it and he became abrupt and asked " Why would I be on it.? I have no business being on it since I met you my angel baby.

This bothered me. I decided to go on the internet and see if I could find him on different web sites.

I did. He wrote the same e-mail to a Lisa in Sydney Australia and called her his Queen and that he is in the process of purchasing the air plane ticket so that he will be spending Christmas with her and propose to her.

Well, I called him on it and told him hurt I was to find this out and why did he do this to me, to the person he professed his love.

The answers were so disappointing. He said, " It didn't come from the heart, I just need the money to get home and you can help me convince her to send me the money so we can finally be together." Of course I said " I will be no part of your scam." It's over do not call me any more." He kept e-mailing me back with saying " You have to help me I don't want to keep selling drugs, it's getting to risky and if you don't help me I'm going to have to rob and you don't want that." I told him to go away, that he was sick and needed help. " He continued to buzz me saying " You are the one I love only you etc... He became arrogant when I continued to reject him. Saying " I need you to give me the two bank account numbers you opened up so I can wire the money I have in off shore places." I told him. Do not write me anymore, I am going to report you and I am going to see to it that you pay dearly for all your deceptions to me and I am sure there are other women out there just like me and Lisa that you have duped

The game is over, the well is dry and you have been unmasked.

This is my entire story. For all the women and men out there don't be duped like me. Not only did I lose financially because I will never get this money back, but emotionally it broke my heart and I don't think I could trust after this. This man meant everything to me. He violated me like I have never been. He spoke about getting married as he said " In the Cath, in front of the alter, in God's eyes." That he would take care of me, that I deserved to be cared for and loved, because I was such a beautiful woman, that he had been hurt in two other relationships before meeting his late wife. But that while he had a special place in his heart for his late wife, I have gone above and beyond her.

This guy is one sick person.

He goes under different names. He used the names of Paul Hudson, Tony Diggs, Helen Tomas, David Simon I believe that one of the people he on the internet is a Sgt. Major Harry Bennett. and another pet4us.com

So, this was not only a very costly relationship, but a heart breaker.

Be careful, don't send one red cent to any guy for any reason.

It;s a scam in the making.

THE NEXT DAY SHE WRITES THIS, CALLING HIM "MY HUSBAND"
My husband the boss said the money can't be transfer into this account, He said the money can be transfer into Equity account. My husband let me know if you have Equity account and if you don't have go and open the account. Rachael really love Bob.

Why do you think I'm so foolish? I get this account and he puts a large sum to launder his dirty money and then I'm liable for it! My government will certainly put me in jail! You've never planned to come stay with me and you are only a thief. You stole everything I loved and now your trying to put me in jail! May God have mercy on your wicked soul!

Nigerian Scammer Ronald David Caught on Facebook and Myspace

ANOTHER READER BRINGS US THIS GUY:

I would like to add another name to your list. His name is Ronald David and he claims that he is from Marietta, Georgia. He messaged me on Facebook.com, and asked to be my friend. I looked him up and then just ignored the email. The picture that he posts is of a hot model type, and he uses the same picture on Myspace.com under the same name, but on Myspace.com he claims that he is from Clarkson, KY. He was a member of myspace since 2006.

Ronald claims that he is a widow, and has an 8 yr old son named Jerry, and that the grandmother, (Ron's mother) takes care of him. his job is in concstruction and he calls himself a "construction engineer". He left for Nigeria, Africa on November 30, 2010 to perform services for a "friend" contractor, and he was worried that the African civilization would not have banking services to pay him. He was leary of taking a check for payment, but went anyways, knowing that his comrad would see him accommidated. He went 4 days without contacting me, and just this past Friday, late at night, I received an email via yahoo messenger. His screen name is good2beloved5504me on Yahoo, having the same email. He asked if I could "borrow" him $50 for safe food, as I had told him not to drink the water in Africa when we talked and he told me he was going. He then added that things were expensive and that he needed money. I am not a wealthy person and I live pay day to pay day myself, I refused to send money. He quickly signed off. I had the feeling of a scam when he repeatedly told me he was in love and wanted a Mom for his son, and I am sure that all this is true if he even has a son! But I am not taking his bait. I have deleted him and have blocked him from all my lists, and I would like for others to know this name so they will not be submitted to the scam. As of last night, he asked for me to help his friend make a profile on plentyoffish.com, and I assured him that those women were gold diggers and whores, maybe he will not try to scam others by this comment! maybe if someone sees this they will take notice and be aware.

After visiting your site, I am sure he may be in the 219 ring and is using another form of communication to meet victims.

They hardly ever use Capital "I" it always seems to be "i".

They seem to talk in run on sentences that make no sense without any proper punctuation or breaks. Their use of English totally sucks.

Instead of writing 'good to hear from you' they seem to write 'good to READ from you'

NIGERIAN SCAMMER EDWARD PEDERSEN GETS DESPERATE

After Edward Pedersen asked us for the money we of course stopped all correspondence with him immediately which then resulted in an onslaught of emails - 5 to be exact within a 2 hour period where he BEGGED for the $$$. We received 5 similar emails to the one below professing his undying love and asking for the money promising all the while how rich 'we' will be.

After reading so much of the crapola over and over again we see a trend here. They always use text like verbage U instead of you, they can't spell worth a crap, they always call you HONEY and SWEETIE (gag me), profess undying love... and they fall in love very fast - like within 3 emails. And refer to themselves as "Your husband" or "Your wife".

Here is the letter where he asks for $$$$. We have to admit his story is very 'creative'. He apparently went to sleep with a candle lit, but it set the rug on fire and his hotel room was on fire until 4 am when he woke up to 'pee'. And he wrote us this email still wearing his 'pinjamas' since he lost all his clothes in the fire.

Getting Your Money Back and/or Your Scammer Arrested!

So many people who have been victims of sweetheart or Nigerian dating scams have asked us two main questions:

1. How can I get my money back?
2. How can I get my scammer thrown in jail?

There are reasons these scammers are so successful and never get punished. The first is jurisdiction.

A cop from New York can not go to Florida and arrest someone on the street. He is out of his jurisdiction. He is a cop in New York and in New York ONLY. So for a police officer in your state to take your case of a scammer living outside your state or in Nigeria is a problem. How can the officer investigate someone in Nigeria? Who is going to pay for him to go there, and would they even do it? Nope. Have you heard of someone murdering or raping someone in this country that fled to another country? Why do they flee to another country? Because it is hard to get then BACK into this country, and with some countries IMPOSSIBLE.

The second issue deals with where was the crime actually committed. In the USA or Nigeria? Yes you sent the money from the states but you sent it to Nigeria. So which is it? If it is decided it is Nigeria, then it is up to NIGERIAN law enforcement to prosecute, not the United States. (People in the UK are also big-time victims of the Nigerians as well.) So now you can see what you are up against when it comes to punishing your scammer.

The next is getting your money back. I wish more than anything there was an organization to help you, but so far I really haven't FOUND one that has shown results. If anyone reading this HAS gotten their money back with the aid of an organization please let me know. There are thousands of FAKE emails from FAKE organizations offering to help you, but they got your info from your scammer, to scam you AGAIN. The scammer has most likely already spent your money, so even if by some chance they were found, how would you get your money back? Wouldn't you have to sue them? How do you find a lawyer in Nigeria to take your case? Do you have to go to Nigeria? What if you go through all that, win, and the scammer has NOTHING to pay you back with?

Most of the scammers use internet cafes because they don't even have a computer or internet access. In this country you can sue people, win, and SOMETIMES you can get your money back, or some of it. Quite often, you DON'T (case in point - o.j. Simpson). I hate to say it, but the odds are not in your favor of getting your money returned to you. What you can do is stop the scammers by putting their email address, name, photos, and emails out there for others to find before THEY become victims as well. If at any time we can direct you to someone who really can help you, we will. For right now, we will create a list of things you CAN do.

And now, just when you think it could not get any more ridiculous - the Nigerians are sending emails on behalf of Obama's Foundation (even though they are so stupid they did not realize The Obama Foundation just sounds better and more official..but whatever) to 'help' those who have been scammed by scammers. Hmmm, they must be running out of ideas.
