Nigerian Dating scam on Blackplanet.com

Another story from another scam vicitm, this time from blackplanet.com
Hello,

I don't mind sharing my story about my encounter of a Internet crime. I met my scam artists on BlackPlanet.com a dating service online. Actually he found me, last year March 2008. He sent me a lovely message, the I replied. Afterwards he asked me to meet him on yahoo IM. Where we chat, we even exchanged cell phone numbers. He posed as a handsome well built man, which he stole the photo from Modelmayhem a modeling web site. The gentleman photo he's using is Michael Owen; but the scam artist goes by the name; David Benson d.benson39@yahoo.com .

He told me how we where going to be together and make me his wife. E-mailing me poems; he was so sweet, I felt for his manipulation. Then he told me his mother was sick and he needed money to save her life in addition to medicine. Afterwards he needed money to renew his plane ticket the list goes on. He manage to scam $3000. He also tried to transfer money into my account which didn't work. This man did it all. I have so much more to mention if you need to learn more you can contact me via e-mail caroldavis305@aol.com. I hope this scam can be stopped out of Nigeria, Lagos State in Africa. If not stopped put under controlled, because I have a feeling he would make someone else his victim.

  1. I have a friend that has a "friend" in Nigeria. He is in "love" with her...tragic life...wife died, parents dead...started out with a daughter, 11, Sophia....but she has died also after the Nigerian policeman knocked her down while they were trying to arrest the"friend"..She sent money in the beginning because Sophia was sick and the hospital wouldn't treat her unless they had $400..well, he got it! Before Sophia "died", Chris had my friend let "his client" put money into one of her credit card accounts, then she would pull that money out and wire it to him in Nigeria,Lagos...this was for 3,000...then 5,000..everything was going good. One transaction was for $13,000...she pulled that out of her credit card account, wired it to Chris and then the clients check bounced. My friend now owes the credit card co 15,000 and they have closed her account. She deposited a "bad" check into her bank account and they closed her account and kicked her out of the bank...since Sophia has "died"...Chris needs her to send 7,000 so he and Sophia can come to the states, bury Sophia and marry my friend and they can have a child together. SHE WON'T LISTEN TO ME!!!

    2. Yes they use throw away phones and are giving american numbers. These pay as you go phones and they can just purchase these without showing ID. They use stolen photos and if she is emailing you from a gmail email address then that's another red flag. Granted anyone can have a gmail email and that doesn't make them a con artist but gmail addresses do not include IP addresses. Which means they cannot be traced. They can say their from Chicago, and call from a chicago number but in reality they are calling from Nigeria or another foreign country.

And I've never heard of anyone going to Nigeria for Antiques. That just doesn't even make sense.

He didn't take any money from me because I knew something was odd but he says he is from Los Angeles area but he knows nothing about it. He hadn't even heard of anything that is common there. So watch out... he will try to use his daughter to con you too. He told me that it was her birthday right away and that she would want a present from me. He also tried to get me to send him a cell phone

  8. Hello! I was almost victimized by a Nigerian scammer through Match.com. He's blocked now on that site because I reported him but I'm sure he can create another profile easily. He's yahoo messenger ID is willcox46 (email:willcox46@yahoo)
He pretended to be a widower with a 4 year old daughter from here in San Diego but currently under contract as a geologist for Shell Oil Co. in Nigeria. They can really lure you & he even sent me about 3 flower arrangements & chocolates. Then after a month he asked for $1000 to be wired to Western Union for his daughter's surgery. The info he used to claim the money is Michael Alexander from Surele,Lagos, Nigeria. When I told him he's busted, the previously sweet man started to cuss at me & was really mad for not trusting him. Pls be very careful out there. Don't let them make a fool out of you & rob you of your hard earned money. I almost did...

  9. OMG! What a fool I have been. There is a man with an Ikorodu and Ikeje,Lagos, Nigeria address, that goes by Michael Paul Smith, Michael Darry Smith, and Michael Douglas Smith, that I have talked to for the past year. I have given him over a thousand dollars and was almost put in jail because this man had packages sent to my home, but thankfully I turned them over to the police. He used the name of Smitty on true.com, I have since quite using all dating sites so dont know if he is still on there or not. I have read that this man may also use the last name of Awokoua. Please someone help do something about these people and don't let anyone else get hurt. His yahoo sign on is michelsmith_2004@yahoo.com

  10. The Michael Smith was also a widower with a 13 year old daughter and claimed to be from East Wenatchee, Washington. Said his wife died of breast cancer when his daughter was just 8. He was supposedly born in Brooklyn to an English born mother and an American Indian decent father, from Brooklyn.

  14. I have been chatting with a woman from EPE Town, Nigeria. She says that she was born in Lagos, both parents died when she was young. She said that she just graduated from nursng school, 38 years old and single. She actually found me on Singlesnet.com, of course she immediately wanted to go to instant messaging to continue our conversation; which has been in progress for about a week now. She is requesting money for a passport, visa, and air-fare totalling around $2,700.00. I haven't sent her money and won't. I thought it was a scam, but damn, these Nigerian girls are beautiful. I was just hoping my case was the exception to the rule of the scam artist. Are none of thes dating sites safe?

  16. I was recently contact through blackplanet by a Nigerian going by the name of Richard Powell. Has anyone else been contacted by this man? He claims to be 35 from Houston TX but is currently in Nigeria visiting his dying mother. He never asked me for money but I sure he would have eventually. He claimed to be a god fearing man looking for a wife. He called me a couple of times from Nigeria but never talked long. He also claimed to be half nigerian and half mexican born and raised in Houston. The picture of the model he choose to post was clearly not f nigerian or mexican.

  17. I don't even accept notes or messages from Nigerians (or Africans in general) anymore... They send these loooong notes talking about how they've searched the whole internet and found that you're the one for them, they want to spend the rest of their lives with u... you're beautiful they love you... all this from reading a half page bio on a dating site. I had one dude ask me for money and that was enough for me. If u think he's coming on way too strong... it probably a scammer.

  19. After reading all of the comments above, I have been a victim of these scams as well. It was truelove4sure73@blackplanet.com Nicholas Iyoha who claims he is in Nigeria for 3months and his contract is coming to an end. I fell for it. But like the saying goes fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. I'd b damned if I ever do the internet dating thing ever again. I decided to do my own research in more depth and I came across this scammers site. I wish BP and other dating sites can have a way to trace these evil people who prey on people. But anyway be careful. Just what anonymous said right before me is so true and watch for foreigners on these sites, if u ask me, they should be banned and sued out of the a*^&^ and then beaten (sorry did I say that aloud).

I consider myself a very honest and open guy and enjoy giving and receiving affection. I have been divorced for over five (3) years ,i work as an individual person as a contractor and put a smile on my face.am an easy going person and easy to get along with.I am a gentleman at all times and I respect the person I am with
I am looking for an attractive minded woman who loves music and sports as much as I do! I guess the best way to discribe myself is that I'm a nice guy who is cosiderate and respectful of other people's feelings. I am compassionate, a great listener, and not afraid to show my emotions. i believed not only in what a woman look like but her heart play the most important role to me cause i want a real and a serious relationship with the right woman.Bet am old for Games. I'm a family man, who thinks it's more important to come home and spend quality time with the family instead of hanging out at the bar or out there doing some others stuffs.i enjoy traveling..... it nice seeing new places and meeting new people from the world. Bedroom aerobics are great, and I consider that an important part of a relationship. Being able to come home after work and hold a nice conversation is something that has been missing in my life for a long time. Believe it or not, the most sensitive part of my body is my fingertips. I love to touch!!! Holding hands and showing affection is very important to me. i believed in friendship so much cos to me it is the key role to a long lasting relationship.where are u from here originally, tell me about ur job and wat u do,kids and how long ya been div.I am a simple person and I try to never ask anything of anyone, I will just try to do it myself.I have had to take care of myself for a very long time now. I do the best I can with what I have and just keep trying harder to do better. I try to never give up now matter how bad a problem may be.i am a fun loving man and no doubt would love someone from that angel and also a hard working guy.My son live with ex i got son, male and she's trying to tell him am not a good guy too bad for her she got div. cause i caught her having an affair with my best friend buit goo for them they are happily married now and she is fine with her self.
What am I looking for, well that's kind of hard for me to say. First and formost I am looking for someone that is honest true and faitful, with a good heart and enjoys doing some of the things I do. Someone that is woman enough to stick out good times , bad times, hard times, is allways ther no mater what may happen. That will let me be me and if that means letting use their should to cry on once in a while. Some one that is not controlling, abusive, or allways having to be in charge. Someone that is willing to meet you half way and wants to join their live with mine. Someone who is romantic, passionate, caring but yet will suprise you sometimes for no reason. I am a nature nut, I love the outdoors, my flowers building thing, swimming etc. Someone that wants to share their life with mine and mine with theirs. And in return this person will get the same and more from me.well i have been div for 3yrs and i think that really wants me to need someone and would be happy if i find the peron in no time.

  23. He goes by the name of RODERIGO SANSONE (SRoderigo@ymail.com) and is 46 years old born of Italian descent. He claims he lives in Tottenham in the UK and is an engineering consultant and has a construction company on the side. One day he had to leave to go to Nigeria to check on a job and collect a cheque from the government and before you know it, he said he was caught in a car accident and could not get out of the country. His initial plan was to come to Canada to romance me after all the exchanging of love emails and so forth. He claimed that he had no cash, no food, and not enough to get out of the city to catch the plane out of Lagos. On top of that, he had to pay these monstrous hospital bills as he had cuts and bruises from the car accident. I fell for his scam and after a couple of painful money transfers through Western Union, I decided then and there that I knew right away that I was scammed. Please watch out ladies.

  25. Add Maxwell Johnson, a widower from San Francisco, CA working in Nigeria to the list of names used. He promised to marry me and right before he headed to see me he was in a car accident that required extensive surgery. A Dr Hill contacted me and said that he needed $ 500 in order to operate on Maxwell. That's when I knew it had to be a hoax. Everyone knows that when a US company sends workers overseas they have good medical insurance.

I sent the wrong ID number and so on and so. When he finally emailed me I cussed him out like there was no tomorrow- I felt good about it too - "Women and Men please be careful- don't just give your money away like that to a complete stranger who you never once meet - don't let charming words fool you- comma on people we are much smarter than that. 31. I can smell a scammer instantly. Here are the clues.

    1. They instantly say they are looking for someone to be with them, be their wife, serious relationship etc.
    2. They instantly want to talk on IM after the first email.
    3. They are extraordinarily good looking, but if you look at the picture you can tell that it is not the original. Very grainy and distorted. (An extraordinarily good looking man is not on a dating site). Men like this have women chomping at the bit at his job, church, club or where ever he is in a woman's presence. He is finding what he is looking for without getting on a dating site.
    4. Their grammar and spelling is horrible.
    5. They always are not where they say they live due to a job or visiting family overseas and they don't know anything about where they live.
    6. They say things that no man living in the United States of America would ever say to a woman just by looking at your pictures.

There are far too many scammers on BlackPlanet and a few other dating sites. One thing that I immediately do when an email is given to me is put it in pipl.com . It should match up to the things that they are saying. There are also sites out there that will tell you where an email address was created from. I will post later as to what this site is as I can not remember at this time. Over the top is not reasonable so please be careful.

    1. Tagged.com is another website to be careful on. Someone on there using the name Kelvin Anderson, and he is a SNAKE. Yes, another Nigerian, but pretending to be West Indian and using fake pics. The fact is he is in a scam ring of Africans living in Malaysia. What I can't understand is how they get their victims to send money. The stories they tell are so "off" and illogical/irrational. Then, too, for me, I don't have money to send to strangers. Once I pay my bills and give to my church and civic organizations, that's it for me, but several of these fakers have attempted to get at me with their phony "I'm a widower with two kids" bull$#it. Anyway, ladies, they are trying to exploit the lonely, especially those of us who are overweight. They will claim they LOVE big women, and say all kind of flattering stuff, but the sweeter it sounds, the "faker" it is. DON'T GO FOR THE OKIE DOKE!!!

  35. The insidious scammers are hitting the faith-based fellowship sites, too. It seems that the men are posing as well-to-do Christian businessmen with a sob-story (from personal childhood abuse in vivid detail, all the way to kidnapping, death of spouse or child, terminal disease, on and on; hoping that a "religious" woman, typically older than the age these men claim to be, will be trusting and sympathetic.

Unfortunately, many people of faith want to care for those who are suffering, so tend to be all the more vulnerable to the devious, diabolical deceivers who are, in effect, "WOLVES-IN-SHEEPS-CLOTHING".

I was just wondering if anyone has heard of Mike Douglas, he is meant to be Canadian but his story is sounding very like the others on this site. Any info would be very helpful,

  37. THANK YOU SO MUCH

I am glad this information is posted about Ronald Anderson Dion. I was about to get into communicating with him. I'm glad to know that I can cut him off at the pass. He hasn't asked for money yet but it does sound like he will, it sounds like the same story. He told me, he is in africa on vacation taking care of his sick mother. He had a lot of sweet things to say, and I admit I was falling for them until someone on his guestbook on Blackplanet said he was a scam artist and I checked out what she was saying. Low and behold he is a scammer. I'm so thankful that someone found this information and are letting others know.

  38. Well I am not one of the fortuate ones. I just found out about Ronald Anderson Dion. Thankfully I only sent $150. He gave me this sob story about needing the money for his mother who has breast cancer. He has a way with words but its not worth the pain. I just read the post that was put on his guestbook and felt so stupid. Please believe me when I say this I will find out who this person really is and when I do it will not be pretty.

  40. Wow, this is crazy. One I have been chatting with for about a month didn't ask me for money, he just mentioned that he has homes in TX and CA but is in Cuba for a "contractor's job" because he is a Geologist, lol. Meant him on blackplanet, name is Samson Richard. I knew something wasn't right when I googled his poems and lines from movies came up. I even told him about it and went with the flow. These men are good if you let them. I made it loud and clear to not ask me for my location or any money and he did not, lol. This guy was average but cute, I tried to cut him off so many times but for some reason I wanted to know more. Never once sent this man any information. I even made him make a facebook page and I did as well with just one photo and no relatives. Once I saw this it only validated what I saw. The moment I wrote "God reveals all in due time", he signed off and I cut him off of my yahoo. These men are unbelievable. I am broke so I know I wasn't falling for that, but the thing is he never asked me. Although he did ask me about sending me money, I told him to give me his banking information along with his social security number, lol.

  41. Hello, I was wondering if anyone ever heard of Fred Wood? Supposedly he imports steel from European countries. I noticed his e-mails started out with very good grammar and as time went on they got worse. He did not ask for money although, I am sure that would have come in time. But I was stupid enough to give him my address and full name. I hear about these things all time and I never thought I would fall for it. I have searched various websites looking for that name to no avail. So if any has been scammed by Fred Wood I would like to know.

  42. Listen Ladie God has the man he wants for you. To the ladie who posted on 5/10/10 who has came in contact with Richard Martin please know baby he is apart of a scam group. I met Richard on Black christian.com his email address is honestrichard60@yahoo.com. Richards nickname is Richie. Saids lived in Bronx of New York. Mother was from Spain and his father from Nigeria. Richie sent me some pictures of someone who was fine, he was writing me love letters like crazy. Richie was in on his way to air port because his father was very sick and he had to leave for Africa. He is a expert at his game. I fell in love with him seriously and I had felt he had fallin in love with me as well. He was texting me and emailing me I love you and he felt God had placed us together. He knew I was spiritual and he used it. He had me excited because he was suppose to be coming to my city to meet me and my family. He was very caring Richie stated he had a check from his job in NewYork that he didn't get cashed so he was trying to get it cashed in Nigeria. That's when he ased me if he could borrow first $600.00 to get his plane ticket home. He claimed he didn't get a round trip ticket because he was rushing. I told him I didn't have any money. He use to try and give me a guilt trip because I wouldn't help my man. When I told him he was suppose to have been here and he had embarassed mke wit my people because he haqdn;t showed he got mad stating I didn't tell you to tell your friends and family it was suppose to be a surprise when he showed up He still was trying to convience me he was lagit. He has a heavy accent.
Richie told me after the 2nd week he wanted to marry me and I was his soul mate. Richie asked me to open a Chase Bank account here stating his friend who owed him money was going to send him money so he could get home. So I went and open the account but I didn't trust him all the way and I closed the account. He was upset that I didn't tell him I had closed the account. It made me aware that he was cutting and pasteing lines. When he looked at his email he reply I am so sorry Baby it waqs a mistake. He thought I was stupid I guess and wasn't going to pay attention to it. A couple of weeks went by we were texting some. He claims it was his dads. phone. I kept catching Richie in lie after lie.
I got a text Babe my friend wants to send the money I told him to let his friend send it western union. That gave more red flags. Well Richie said we was always argueing and he hated when I talked to him the way i did. I told him he was just mad because I keep telling him the truth and the truth hurts. Just two weeks Richie text me asking me for my bank user ID I told him HELL No. I went off on him for the last time. I told Richard he must think Im crazy and him and his crew was up to no good and to leave me out of his mess. I told him he didn't love me and he was never leaving Africa or where ever he was. He was trying to scam me. I told Richard that a real man doesnt rely on women to make it happen . I told him it was over. I looked Richard Martin up on Mylife.com when I put his name in and the location Nigeria (1) person came up a RICHIE MARTIN DJOSSOU and trust me the picture they showed is not the same handsome man I had a picture of. I honestly believe that is the Richard Martin. When I asked him about the last name he laugh and said what kind od name is that who gave you that.

Listen I hadn't talk to Richie in two weeks all of a sudden this past Friday my bank alerted me by tect that my account was suppose to be $9999.514.60 overdrawn. I was frantic. When I talk to the bank the amount was not that figure but it was a large amount. The bank closed my account and whoevers account was trying to put money in my account. Whoeveer the man trying to put money in my account he told the bank he was my father and send money because my daughter was sick. It's scary. The bank is investigating. I know it was Richard and his crew. SO PLEASE BE CAREFUL.

  43. I met OJ744 on match.com. He said his name is John Owen (I notice there's another Owen posted above). He quickly asked to e-mail using our regular accounts (not match.com), and quickly became very romantic. Within two weeks of e-mailing, and phone calls and yahoo chat he today asked me to send him money to Nigeria. He first told me he lived in Ft. Collins Colorado and was a consultant and going to Nigeria for a couple of weeks. All of a sudden he had a credit card problem and no banks would help him, etc. etc. He asked for money. i got on the internet and found all these postings about Internet Scams In Nigeria. Thank you. John Owen. OJ744. Don't interact with him.

  46. Black Planet is a great place to get scammed..recently a man who called himself Jam Collins (jamcollins@rocketmail.com) Beaumont,TX when he said he was from Abell,MD and he was an engineer! Shortly after that he deleted his BP page and from my yahoo messanger. He was a smooth talker, he was only in Nigeria for a few days because his mom was in the hospital! OMG I can't believe these people! Be careful!

  47. I would like to add my experience after reading all these postings, I met a guy on BP in June username michaelsmith007. He said he like my profile and if I like his to email him, which I did. He was very handsome and was looking for the same things I was, so I sent him a note with my e-mail address. He replied the next day with a novel long e-mail introducing his self and I like what I read. He was real smooth with his words and said all the good things us single females want to her, well after a month of e-mailing back and forth he told me he is in Nigeria. I asked why, he said his mom got injured there and he was all she had to take care of her. I felt bad to hear his story and told him if I could help just let me know, well after two weeks he sent an e-mail asking me to help him with some money to pay for his mother's emergency surgery. I told him I can not because I've only known him for a month and don't feel comfortable doing that. He then said that he's going to lose his mom and if I can not help, I told him no AGAIN. I thought he would understand but I guess he didn't because he then asked for $50.00, I said no again and it wasn't cool for him to be asking me for money. He got upset and stop e-mailing me for awhile, he then asked me to cash a check for $1100.00 and needed my address so I can send him the money western union. I said to myself this man thinks I'm stupid or something!!!! I said hell no and from since then which was two weeks ago I haven't heard from him.

Ladies...please don't get sucked in no matter how smooth they talk or good they make you feel...

  48. To the ones that have met a Richard Martin: I have been talking to a Richard Martin that I met on Chemistry.com. He says he is from NY, is a doctor and has now gone to 8 African countries to help. He said that his luggage has been lost, and now he has been robbed. As of yesterday, he has not asked for money, however has asked me to send him toiletry items and clothes. Has anyone gotten this scam??? Please get back to me ASAP. I am so glad I have looked up this info. Seems pretty sketchy to me. Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  49. Yes! But he is now demanding money saying he was recently robbed. When I told him no, he became quite aggressive in his written messages to me. I have only emailed and been on Yahoo IM with him, but I met him on Chemistry. He claims he is originally from California, but moved to the Seattle area when he was young because his father left when he was 3 years old. He claims his father might be living down south. He claims to have been a pediatrician in Seattle and several other locations, but left private practice after his wife died. There is no record of him being a physician on any physician license locator in the U.S. He claims his 7 year old son Steven lives with his maternal grandmother in Seattle. He says his mother died in 1995 from pancreatic cancer. Beware - this guy is a pro at manipulating.

  50. Richard (Rich) Martin is a scam artist. He claims to be a pediatrician but refuses to give specifics other than he graduated from Stanford. I met this fraud artist on Chemistry.com, and he is now demanding money by claiming he was robbed while on a solo missions trip in Africa. When I refused to give him money, he started writing incoherent and nasty emails and Yahoo IMs. Please beware - there is no record of him being a physician in the U.S. He claims his 7 year old son Steven lives with his maternal grandmother in Seattle. He says his mother died in 1995 from pancreatic cancer. The pictures he has sent me are of a nice looking white guy or guys....they all look different. Again, beware of this guy - he is good at what he does best - trying to scam people out of money.

  55. Ok the one I'm chatting with now goes under benjamin_theodor@yahoo.com. Something seemed weird to me so I googled his email address and it showed up under Nigerian Dating Scams, I have never heard of any of this until now but I guess this one is trying a new format. He is supposedly a German man living in Santa Cruz California. Never married, no children, 45. Mother and sister lives in Germany. He , however, is currently working in Nigeria. I reported him to BP as well as Yahoo and I told him my findings. I let him know he would never receive a dime or anything else from me but he continues to chat. I'm finding this whole thing extremely fascinating so I will continue to chat but I'm looking at this as an interactive game. Thanks for listing all the possible ways this game can end so at least it will keep me on my toes for possible issues. I will keep you guys posted as the saga continues. I cant believe people can be so cruel to other people.

  58. I was communicating with "Richie", Richard Martin (honest.richard60@yahoo.com) until yesterday 9/23. I began communicating with him on BCPM. His story was that he is an only child. His mother died in a car accident and his father was still living. Mom was from Spain and Dad was from Africa. He traveled a lot because he worked in the Oil Industry. We had been communicating for about 2 weeks. He asked me yesterday to get off the dating site because he knew that I was the woman for him. He was falling in love.... I had been suspicious of this guy from day one. I specifically asked in my dating profile for a man that would communicate with me via the dating site only...he obviously could not read or just felt I was desperate enough to fall for his foolishness...LOL

After "searching"...it appears he has profiles on Chemistry.com, Myspace, Blackpeoplemeet.com, Interacialpeoplemeet.com and Match.com When I confronted him yesterday, he had no reply.

Ladies, please be aware that these guys are no joke. They intend to suck you in and rip you off. There is another gentleman on BCPM with the screenname of GODLOVESMEOMUCH3. He is extremely handsome, has multiple pictures and seems to be the perfect catch. Read his profile carefully. He can not spell, uses the work "cos" and really pours on the honey about his desire to be in love.

I hope the FBI is doing their part to catch these thieves!!!!

HERE'S THE EMAIL HE SENT ME.

hey sweets its was really nice talking to you today..I havent heard someone say these things to me before. well I just wanted to tell you somethings and qualities of what I seek in a woman,I know you might not have all the qualities, but I'm sure you do have few of the qualities. What I am looking for is someone who will get to know me ,who will love me forever and be there for me ,someone who is willing to merge her soul with mine to result in what is called fate then later merge her heart with mine and that will be marriage and then we can get to live together in our humble abode for ever and start a new family.I am single and I am looking for someone who understands love and know what love is,someone who is not ready to play with my heart,Someone who will value my heart and life when i give it to her because am the type who gives his heart to the one am with in a relationship, this has been my believe that relationship is built on trust ,honesty ,faithfulness and love, also passion and caring for one another, that is what i call true love and this include being there for each other through thick and think in good and bad times .I see True love as an emotion so strong that you would give up everything for.To love someone is to understand that person, laugh together and trust one another, one important thing is to let each other go if you can't do this..True love is a covenant that we build on a strong foundation of Love, true love is like a ghosts; everyone talks about it but few have seen it. I promise to make my one and only the most happiest woman on earth if only she is willing to accept me as part of her.I will be there whenever she needs me and promise never to do anything to hurt her feeling.I can't tell if that special person is you but lets keep on getting to know each other and see what happens....((SMILE))!!hope you had a wonderful Day hows your day day coming along i will be expecting a call from u and some pics

  62. This too crazy! Same thing happened to me but I on blackplanet 3 different times. But I got as fas the sick mother and dead mother then I knew something was up so I didnt even bother. I ask a lot of questions and once I get on yahoo messenger and I start inquire about their lives and family when I get the whole my dad died when I was young and my mother moved back to Africa story I immediately erase them and report them to yahoo.com as spam. One by the name of Scott Ryan or Ryan Scott has went as far as adding me on facebook.com I erased and reported him on there also. Be careful look for the signs right away.
First 3 Signs of a Scam:

    1. First note is always a long note and so detailed about how your profile is great and you are so beautiful

    2. Within the first note a yahoo.com email address is giver so that you can meet through email and messenger

    3. The men in the pictures is unbelievably sexy.

IF YOU HAVE TWO OUT OF THREE OF THESE HE IS A SCAMMER!
    BE SAFE GUYS!

But something about his e-mails just didn't seem right with me and I have been trying to look him up since we started talking. I just knew that he was too good to be true. He had not asked me for money yet but I do have to say his last e-mail was quite creepy to me because he asked me to be his lady when the fool didn't even know me. Now I see why yahoo put that fool's email in my spam folder.

  66. OMG!! I am now talking to man on Black Planet and his name is Richard Kelvin. hes 45yrs ol and located in Palo Alto Calif. he says his wife was killed in a care accident and he has a daughter that is 10 yrs old. He travels in job all the time and owns a store where he sells goods from other countries, but he has just recently traveled to Africa to retock his store. He states that since he has met me everthing sold in his store and he needed to travel to Africa to buy these "statue" goods to sale. So he takes his daughter with him and now that he has arrived at the hotel he calls and needs me to send him $500 to pay for his hotel because he has no money in his account. Now after sharing with me that he has over $200,000 saved up. Now He has nothing to get him and his daughter back home to california. He told me to close my account on Black planet and i did, but a month later I went back in and He's still on their. when i asked him about it and why is his account still open after he asked me to close mine.. he stated that he has a friend that can only contact him from there. What a story. This man tells me how much GOD has done to bring us together and he makes a convevant with God to be with me and marry me... at this point im saying right! and believe me he is so handsome and says all the right things. He never could call me on the phone. We always had to talk IM yahoo. and He always wanted to see me on cam but he didnt have one. and He didnt have a cellar phone but kept promising to get one soon.
And the few times sthat he did call me on the phone his number was blocked private and he says he was calling from a pay phone.. Ladies beware this man is still on Black Planet and he goes by Richard William Kelvin... he claims to have a strong accent and would only talk on the phone for a wuick minute. 67. `ok sooo,
i feel that i too can share this info with you all. i was almost trick by someone from nigeria by the name of dean wallace. i was given the same story about a mother that was ill... she was sick in nigeria with cancer and as soon as she was well he would be coming home. he did not ask me for any money rite off. but then on a specific day when he was supposed to come home he called me and told me that he could not cash his check.... i thought that that was strange since he was supposed to be a businessman and i know that when i am out of town i don't travel without my credit cards. i started to ask him questions like why don't you have access to your money. he asked me for 550 dollars... but what was so alarming was that he asked me how much did i have on me and it i could send it via western union that day! he kept calling me and emailing me. i started to google him and i could not come up with anything. as we conversed i asked him about his accent and things like that.... he would never get too personal. just a lot of sweet talk. i blocked him from my yahoo and email... i stopped taking his calls. i am so happy that i was smart. i had never gotten involved in internet dating and i think that i will stay away from it. yes ladies.... i too was almost conned by this rotten scam artist. i thank GOD that all i lost was 40.00 in long distance calls.

  68. I was approached through Mate1 by Flora Pederson prettyflora01@yahoo.com. She claimed to be an American who went to Nigeria with her fiance when he later stole her purse with passport and wallet inside and left her there. She then tells me she is staying at Don Bosco House a mission in Ibadan, Nigeria. Has time goes by she tells me she was there to collect an inheritance from her deceased fathers estate. Then I am informed she must pay a transfer fee to collect but also must be married to get the money. She even puts me in touch with her Barrister Olu Obadare/John Adams obadareolu@yahoo.com
He then emails me copies of a will for Donald Pederson with Flora has the heir. All the time pressuring me to send the $1,450 for the transfer. I did multiple searches and can find no proof that he is even a lawyer and his name is not listed on the site of the firm he said he is employed by. I have no choice but to believe it all to be a scam. FLORA claims her predicament is real and that she is starving because she can not pay for "feeding" and is afraid she will die there if she gets no help. But no matter what I can get no solid proof this story is real.

I don't know if this is the same Fred as in one of the above post that is asking for an email address, but I met a Fred Wood or Frederick Wood and his email was pazwood23@yahoo.com, phone number 919-399-2038. I would not call him he is running a scam also. He has cheated people out of money. He got kicked off of bbwfinder.com and he is on a site called lovingyou.com. I don't even think that is his real name.

Michael states he is a Master Cabinet Contractor with a 13 year old daughter Juliette, spouse died in a major car accident, both parents deceased, moved from Ontario Canada to Los Angeles 5 years ago. After speaking to him for two weeks went to Guana Africa to work on a project at the Tulip Resort Hotel. Robbed of his package that was sent by UPS that had his lap top in it. After 2 months of talking he asked for me to send him $4,000. I asked for his address, drivers license, home address, company name etc.... and would think about it and no I did not send it to him. I wanted to believe he was who he said he was but after reading several different emails from other woman. I found to many similarities in the emails he sent me and what I have read. 77. I met a man on Friendster by the name of Douglas Smith. His story is very similar. He is from Colorado USA,a civil engineer who is self employed, a single dad with a 4 year old dauhter, his wife passed away when the child was two, his parents were also dead and he is in business in Lagos Nigeria. We chatted on Friendster for a while and I was taken by his sweet words so we decided to talk on yahoo. He asked for my mobile number which I oblidged. But when I spoke with him on the phone I felt this chill of doubt because he doesn't sound American at all and he was in a hurry to talk all time. Anyway we continued to chat on yahoo.Every morning for a month I had beautiful love letter from him.He told me these beautiful things that any woman would love to hear. He said he fell in love with me. I thought I did too. Until a couple of weeks ago he said he was in bad shape because the company he's dealing with couldn't pay him because of some problem. And he has sent his last money to America because his daughter is very sick. And he doesn't have money for food. hotel and money to pay for his workers. I thought for someone who is doing the business for 23 years this is ridiculous. He couldn't get fund transfer from his bank in the USA he said.He doesn't have any form of fund with him but the cash he had. He continued on asking me to help him but I said no. And I googled his name and find this site. I am glad I followed my instinct. I would not send him the $3000 he's asking of me anyway. The photo on his profile is a photo of a descent and gentle man. I must admit I fell in love with the man in the photograph.

  80. I was aproached by a Jerry Frigs, "an engineer from the UK" on contract in Nigeria. His profile picture was "WOW". He pretends to be a widower with a 14 year old daughter. He also told from the start that he is looking for a serious long term relationship, with a view to marriage. Told me from the start that he loves me, God has brought us together, and we are one soul. This already made me supspicious, but nevertheless I continued chatting to him. I asked him to send me other pictures of himself, not the one on his profile on Facebook, as well as pictures of his daughter. He sent me the same pictures as his profile pic, and two beautiful "too perfect pictures" of his daughter. When I requested a photo of him and his daughter together, he said that he does not have access to a scanner to scan the pictures. I also requested that he takes a pic whith his phone, to which he replied that he does not have a camera phone. He then said that his daughter's birthday was coming up on the 30th of January, and if I would mind buying her a camera phone and send it for her birthday. He said that camera phones were extremely hard to come by in Nigeria, and if you do, they are extremely expensive. Now I became even more suspicious! He gave me this address to send it to, and to address the parcel to his driver named ANUFORO CHIJIOKE CHARLES. He said that he was out on site the whole day and that the driver runs all his personal errands. ADDRESS: 10 IKENEGBU STREET OWERRI IMO STATE, OWERRI, NIGERIA 234083. He also requested that I dont use local post but to use a courier such as DHL, UPS or FEDEX. I waited a few days and told him that a new airline law since 31 December states that no Lithium Batteries are allowed in Cargo, which is where the parcels are kept. He then requested that I send him the money via Western Union so that he could organise a birthday party for his daughter. He even got her to phone me crying, saying that her dad know how important her birthday is to her, and especially without a mother, this is her special day and would not be able to have something for her and her friends as her dad only gets paid at the end of his contract, which is supposed to me in June 2011. She even called me "mom". Well, that was it! Ladies, look out for this man, he is very cunning. He also uses these phone numbers: +2348 03884 2794 and +2348 18317 3132

I first had to comfrim through my email just everything was fishy. I just couldnt believe they went threw black planet inbox to do it. So to make a long story short someone calls me and tells me I have to send $1000 for UPS shipping. He couldnt even speak english and I told him I should never have to pay to get money. So then he says they would front the 1000 but they would need my account number so when I got the check and cash it they could get paid the money back. I told him it sounded like a scam to me and he hung up! I just cant believe that things like this has been going on so long out there and nobody has stop it. Is Black Planet ran by them?

  86. Hi, I was wondering if someone could help me. I met this guy off of black planet and I actually contacted him, but he did want me to start IM right away. He is attractive and yes we spoke on the phone and he has a strong accent. I asked him about that and he said he is Spanish. His name is John Cope. Yahoo IM jcope125. We were chatting at that time for about a month then he told me he had to go to africa(Lagos, Nigeria). Which I  thought was odd but he said it was for work. Then when he got there we were still ok then he sd he needed to get work papers to be able to work there. I ask him did he know this he sd, NO! For a while I didn't believe him. I agrue with him stop speaking to him, but he would never leave me alone. I even told him about the scams there in Nigeria. I finally gave up and send him 2000.00 bc I really thought he loved me and we were going to be together. Then after about another month, he sd some rascal were trying to kill white people there and he needed security. He wanted more money. I refused and called he a liar and more. He still wouldn't leave me. Then he stop asking. He had his friend put 1800.00 in my account tht I was suppose to gv to him. While I was waiting for the money he sd he needed money for food. So I sent him another 300.00. Then he sd he didn't get it to call money gram. I called woman told me the money was picked up. I argue with him again. Then when his friend sent me the money. I didn't give it to him. So I did get some of my money back. I block his email, facebook and other but I didn't change my number. I guess bc I really didn't want him to be a scam. I feel like I really love him. So we made up. He is still asking for the money which I haven't given to him. He says he is hungry and he needs money so I was going to send him 150.00 but my friend told me not to. So far I haven't but I feel so sorry for him. What is wrong with me? I need help!  I just want to know if he is a scammer. Any suggestion?

  91. I too was "found" by a handsome guy on Chemistry.com and you know how the story goes. Yahoo e-mail address, then IM, then love, then request for $'s. Exactly one month to the date. He must have had a calendar by his side. But so did I. I have same experience as March 2011 comment. After 1st request was for funds to get construction equipment out of Customsat the airport in Lagos, I said, No", then 2nd request was to get him out of jail for loitering in the airport in Lagos, Nigeria. Same story, wife dead, one child living in Italy with grandmother, etc, etc. Then the computer virus came...Still dealing with it. But I found www.ip-adress.com (not a typo), and the date he e-mailed me, he was supposed to be in the Atlanta, Ga area, however the trace of the e-mail headers, which you can find easily on yahoo e-mails (bet they don't know this!) mapped the exact location for me, and Yes everyone, it showed up as Nigeria, West Africa. Got Him! Future contacts, I let him know I knew he was a scammer. He kept asking me why did I think that. But he will never know how I traced his IP address. this is the same way law enforcement tracks down cyber criminals also. When the calamity stories started, that's when I knew something wasn't right, and I went online to search about these scams and educate myself. I hope this helps someone! They are good at what they do, but we have the technology here to protect ourselves, and that site I gave you all is FREE!!!! Don't share it with the scammers or they will think up a way of hiding their IP addresses.

I keep telling him I'm not comfortable with that I've never met you or talked to you on the phone he give me 011234-80388-10262 an international number now he told me he grew up in the states been here his while life. So I ask him you don't have a cell! Now all the cell places have phones that enabled you to have international calling, why don't you? And if you can call your job to ask for more time off why can't you call me. My church has gone to Africa twice and there is no problem at the airport changing prices on a ticket that's already been paid for. He gave me the same story the ex died and he has no one. 97. OMG!!! I'm so sorry to hear about the men and women who had to go through this. But honestly, people should take note of these type of people because they are out there!!!!! My good friend went through something like this where she meet a guy who just seemed to good to be to fucken true. They talked foe months on the intenet, to find out that he actually just moved down here from, no other than, Nigreia. They went on a few dates, he spent a few nights at her house and within a year, they got married without anyone knowing. After they married, she brought him around her friends and family who were happy for her because she longed for a relationship that would work. Only, she wasn't expecting the following things I'm about to say. He started to change dramatically. He started to beat her, I mean now, she has lost her slight in her left eye, he cleaned out her back account and has left her in debt. She found out that he has 5 young children and a wife back home. When she confronted him about what she had learnt, he didn't say anything but go straight to bed that night, waited for her to go to work a few days later and emptied her house that she bought and work damn hard to make a home. Right now, she is a mess. And he, has no got his papers and filing for his children and wife to join him here. Sigh*. It hurts me so much to know you have people that are so cold hearted and evil. But everyone needs to take note on these stories that people have posted. As some have mentioned, ask questions. No question is a stupid question. Even if you asked the same question few days again from the day you asked the first time, ask again. Be careful, don't settle for anyone who has the nicest lyrics or writes the sweetest poem, or makes you feel so special at that moment because chances are, they have said it to everyone else before you and very sure after.

I met my scam artist on BlackPlanet.com a dating service online. Actually he found me, just 3mths ago. He sent me a lovely message, than I replied we exchanged email address and messenger details. Where we had been chatting and building a relationship, well that is what he led me to believe, we even exchanged phone numbers. We rang each other many times and he would leave messages on my voice mail how he really missed me and I was everything to him and meant the world to him and soon we would be together.

He said he lives in Jacksonville , Florida and was traveling to London for work. He was trying to sell a self funded project to the government over there. After a short period of time he told me that all his funds had been used up due to registering for licenses and permits etc and he needs funds to able to finish the deal and receive a large sum of money. I fell for his manipulation and he continued to carry on with stories of the project and I continued to send money to help him. Finally he told me he had received the cheque and was ready to travel to Australia and how we where going to be together and he was going to cash his cheque here and reimburse me all the money he took from me. However of course he needed money for the airfare, he sent me flight details etc and was having a stop over in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia once he reached there he started ringing me again saying he needed money to get through customs, for 2 weeks this continued as he was robbed and needed more money and than had to use that money for renewing his ticket to Australia it just went on and on. He kept promising me we would be together any day now. If I ever questioned him on anything he would say that he was hurt that I would think that, and he would says things like his word was his bond, he even swore on his mother's grave that he was telling me the truth and he would return my money and we would be blissfully happy together. He managed to scam over $6000 from me. I am a single mum with 3 children, I work 2 jobs and just wanted to find love and my life partner. Now I just have to find a third job to recover from all this mess. He has profiles on a lot of sites Netlog, my space, HI5, twoo and these are only the ones I know of.
He is very convincing and doesn't care how his deceit affects your life and what financial mess he leaves you in.

He said he found a job that sent him to Nigeria, and his 17-year-old son was in a boarding school in the United Kingdom. We chatted on IM for a few weeks. He had a lot of sweet talk, and told me how beautiful I am. He never answered my questions about his background. Then all of a sudden, his son became ill and he needed money for medical services and cried because his son was suffering. Red flags kept sailing up about this guy. I just couldn't pinpoint it. Thank you for your site. God bless you. Please, keep up the good work.

His emails were so dam sweet and romantic (he needed and loved me, God brought us together, he was breathless, and didn't know how he was going to live without me.. lol). I knew he couldn't be real. I googled some of the text from his emails and found out that he had copied them word for word from online love letters, poems, etc.. Then I found his name, number and email address on scammers sites. The pictures he sent me are on another dating site where he was a member 2 years ago. He didn't ask for money, nor would he have gotten any from me. Richie tried to take advantage of the fact that I was on a dating site and believe in the Lord. It was my faith in the Lord that protected me and helped me to uncover this scam artist.. Can't mess with a child of GOD... Ladies beware when you meet men online, always google their email addresses and telephone numbers, if they give you their correct name you can look them up on the sex offenders website at http://www.familywatchdog.us/default.asp

Be safe out there in cyberspace..

  101. If you come in contact with Richard Martin goes by Richie Martin, email address honest.richard60@yahoo.com, cell# (314)472-5139 do not believe a word he says. I met him on blackchristianpeoplemeet. He comes off as this sweet God fearing romantic guy, who has not had any luck with women. He supposedly lives in Bronx NY, works for oil company, his mother was killed in a car accident and his father lives in West Africa. The things he wrote in his emails were too good to be true, I googled some of what he wrote and to my surprize almost everything he said in the emails he had copied word for word from online love letters and poems on the internet. After doing more research I found out that he told other women the same story he told me and he sent other women the same EXACT emails he had sent me. The pictures he sent were pictures of someone else. He preys on the Christian women he finds on dating sites.

LADIES when you meet men on online ALWAYS google their names, username, email, phone #'s and any other information they give you. You should also search the sex offenders website: http://www.familywatchdog.us/default.asp

Remember....if it (he) is too good to be true it (he) probably isn't.

  102. I don't understand the reason why people try to take advantage of other. This man goes by the name of Frank Owen seemed to be a nice person started sending me flowers and cholocate in the mail. Then these package started coming in the mail. He then wanted me to forward them to ghana and now he wants me to send him money to get back home to USA. He says that his money is froze at the bank and he can't get money from him account. He want me to send him money to ghana in someone elses name for him to get home and then he will return my money once he gets home. FOR REAL! The number he calls from is 233206981360. I meet him on a dating site Blackpeoplemeet and on blackplanet. I am glad that he didn't get much from me because I would be very hurt. Beware ladies this men are using photos from the modeling sites and they sound good on the phone and say nice things then they start asking you for money and making you promises that they will not keep.

  103. I encourage readers that if they have a scammer to report to send it to us via email so we can post it, along with any photos and other information you may have. It will reach more people that way, and more people will be warned before they too are scammed.

  104. My scammers name was Michael Owens BD 5/4/68. He started emailing me on Christian Mingle and soon we were on outlook emailing several times a week. At first, I thought he's just too young and handsome for me (all true) but he kept saying that didn't matter to him. There were many red flags. He gave me an address in Carmchael Ca as his home and when I research it that house belonged to another man. He said he was Master Sergeant in the Army after 16 years of service(not likely). The story didn't make sense. He called several times and obviously had an English accent however was raised in Ca. Then the real kicker was when he was holding my picture up as someone took his picture. I realize now that that was all due to photo shop. So last night when I got an email about his son Austin's caretaker running out of money and could I send $1500.00 via western Union right away, I, knew for sure it was a scam. I feel pretty foolish but he didn't get any money from me and If you've seen any pictures of Michael Owen... not a bad virtual boyfriend for awhile.

  105. okay...mine story is almost what i was reading... i am so sorry that we are looking for love and these type of people are out there to hurt or take advantage of us...

i met this guy from bp and his name was gary glason... age 42 with a 11 year daughter janet. he was sent to Benin, Cotonou on a contract job. he is originally from austin, TX. about three week into his stay, he was rob at gun point and rob of everything...so he was quickly trying to finish up and go back home. but he has no money and he is barely providing for his daughter and himself. i will admit, i felt bad for the daugther, so i sent him $150. then he made request for me to sent some stuff down, especially an iphone for 'our' daugther, janet, because i will be her new stepmother. after awhile, i told him i am not a rich person, and i was unable to sent him the package. then he beg me to sent him some money to pay the hotel bill and a ride to airport. i didnt think much of it becuase so i did, $300. long did hear 3 days later, he was detained in custody at the airport beccause when he made claim to the his paycheck of $800k, he didnt have the funds to pay and he was unable to leave. so he needed to sell some stuff and was short about 3k. well this was it... i refused to sent anymore money because i just gave him the last out of my pocket...but i will admit...we continue talking and i did get suck in a couple of time with him... now i feel bad that i was feeling uneasy and didnt follow my 6th sense to walking away when i had the opportunity. honestly lady, there is a good man out there for us, we need to believe in the lord above and wait patiently. i know that suck in saying that, but its better then having our wallet empty before realizing the heartache we will be experiecing because we left this wasnt feeling right. anyway, his yahoo id was gglasberg@yahoo.com Gary Glasberg... from TX with a 11 years daugther Janet. oh his story is that his ex (janet's mother) died 3 years back but did cheat on him with his best friend. he is in Benin, Cotonou building a centre and his mother is dead and is from Thailand and he doesnt talk with his dad because his father walked out of him when he was 8 or 9 years old.

  109. Beware!! Beware!!... He's back... Robert Wright from Conn., really he's in Nigeria. I just met someone on Match.com a month ago. I have to be honest. It was probably the best, most uplifting month of my life. It came at a very low point, when I was feeling down on myself and there he is "Mr. Wright". His Match name was Lookintome4luv...now its Novane112 (He's back on Match, under a new name. The man in the photo is gorgeous, deep blue eyes, who could resist, then he has a picture of a beautiful little girl named Katie...I was reluctant at first, but I went along... after a month of "courting" and many long, long distance phone calls (OH BY THE WAY, THIS VERY AMERICAN LOOKING MAN FROM CONN., STRANGELY HAS A BRITISH ACCENT... WHICH HE APOLOGIZES FOR SEVERAL TIMES) But after the poems he reads you, or the songs he plays for you, YOU ARE HOOKED... THEN IT COMES... THE BEAUTIFUL LITTLE GIRL HAD AN ACCIDENT,
AND NEEDED A $5000.00 operation He even sent me proof.. LOL... of xrays that can be found on google.com. Then he sent me "proof" of certificates, job orders and bank accounts totaling about 6,000,000.
REALLY NOW, IF HE HAD SIX MILLION DOLLARS, WHY THE HELL IS HE ASKING ME FOR $5000.00. Just for the record...NO I DID NOT SEND HIM ANY MONEY, I AM WRITING THIS IN THE HOPES THAT NO OTHER WOMAN FALL FOR THIS... HE IS A VERY INTERESTING CHARMER... HE KNOWS WHAT BUTTONS TO PUSH...JUST ENOUGH TO KEEP YOU HOOKED...BEWARE! ! !HE IS NOW ON MATCH.COM AS NOVANE112... He's really in NIGERIA...I called there...many long nights.

  111. Well, Dean Wallace is back. I am sure I am not the only one he is trying to scam, or about to scam. Last night I woke up unable to sleep. Something told me to research him, as he's been saying he's about to come see me next week. I could not find a Dean Wallace with his suppose age in Hart, CT. I did further research and found his name on here a couple times. And just like the last stories, mine was all too familiar. I even posted how when I was researching him, he called. I was soo upset after completely reading the post on him, I called him back. Told him he was a fak basically. I don't think I will be hearing back from him. And thank god, I didn't send anymoney. Only the money used to call him. I will never be involved in anything like this again. Ladies, his email addess he is currently using is dean2wallace@yahoo. Id hate for him to take advantage of anyone. As my mother always said, if its seems too good to be true, then it is. And Dean Wallace handsome pics and loving words, not to mention supposedly be wealthy, is too good to be true.

  120. Over the last couple of weeks I've been contacted by someone named Michael Connor. Yahoo address MConnor2012@yahoo.com. Of course I was skeptical of how he found me on facebook and I played the game just waiting for the bomb to drop and then it did. He lived in Georgia but was working construction in Nigeria for the next month. After the 2nd week he tells me that He lost his wallet and can I wire him $1800 thru western union so he has enough to get by till he gets paid again? I played the game right up to getting his information and telling him I was getting ready to head to the bank. Then I dropped the bomb on him and told him I was on to his scam. He wasn't very happy and said if I contacted him again he will "block" me. I wish there was a way of copying his picture from facebook. I'm sure I'm not the only lonely heart he tried to take advantage of. Just glad I was smarter that he was.

I just left the work site and decided to get a hold of you.I'm on yahoo messenger now. Here's my work address in Nigeria-

  121. I met a few SCAMMERS myself.. Not stupid to send money, I don't care what they say. Don't you know u can do an IP address check after they send u an email. If you want to play on the internet you need to be smart about it, don't be a fool. To be safe for sure that the pic is them, use a web cam with them or skype with them. Do something! Don't just sit and look at a few pics they send. Remember the internet is a fantasy net, they can say what they want and be anyone they want to be. And yes nigerian's are the worst lol..Its funny how they all say almost the same thing. Ya think that they would be a little bit smarter. But who knew, stupidity is stupidity, scammers will continue on every site. Just Beware

  122. I have been targeted by 2 scammers. The first is very charming, knows all the right things to say to a woman. This fella was very smooth. Our conversations were great. Then he hit me with the BOOM....I ran out of money paying mom's bills and they won't cash my check. His mother is "in the hospital getting treatment for cancer"! He began crying on the phone saying that he doesn't know what he's going to do. He claims to live in Plano, Texas. I googled "him" and the only person in Plano is a very well known doctor! He goes by the name of Sam Dean Lewis. He asked for me to send him $1000 to his mother's doctor! Really?!?!?! I thought you have hot the wrong person here! The doctor's name is Dean Wallace, Lagos, Nigeria! Sounds familiar right?!?!? He claims to have been hurt when he found his fiancée having sex with his best friend 3 weeks before they were to be married.

The second guy is from the UK .. he goes by the name ChizyChizy. He wanted me to fly to London and spend time with him ... Yeah right buddy, I'm really going to do that. He wanted me to book the hotel there and he would "sponsor the other half" in his words!

Both of these guys I met on Black Planet and are of Nigerian decent! I'm sorry but I will not be talking to or excepting any messages from anyone off of the continent of Africa, the UK or Canada. These places are notorious for scammers!!!

  123. I met 5 men with the same accent and each one told me that they were contractors working outside the US. Two of them told me that their girlfriend died years earlier ( one in a car accident and one from cancer). I thought that was ironic. They did not ask me for money but they give me their email and told me to text them on numbers with New York and California area codes. I thought that was suspicious too. I just deleted my account because I was tired of getting inbox from men with accents.
