Here is the letter where he asks for $$$$. We have to admit his story is very 'creative'. He apparently went to sleep with a candle lit, but it set the rug on fire and his hotel room was on fire until 4 am when he woke up to 'pee'. And he wrote us this email still wearing his 'pinjamas' since he lost all his clothes in the fire.

We had another one approach us on internet site and start emailing professing their undying love, etc and once again within 4 days of emails about how I am the 'sugar in the tea' they ask for money. Here if the first email from Edward P. and again he provides his Yahoo IM address below.

We set up an account on an internet site and were contacted by scammers almost immediately. Here is one of the scammers who has contacted us and within 4 days - he asked for money!

We recently recieved an email from a reader who was already scammed for thousands and was talking online to a new man she met supposedly from Tennessee. She told him about how she was scammed before, etc. They wrote back and forth and then he told her he wanted to help find her scammer for her. Then came this email, where he wanted her to send 650 dollars to Nigeria to have his "friends" find him. He is a scammer too, and had NO intention of finding anyone. Here is the email from John Wilson to her where he goes in for the kill to seal the deal. Note how at the end he has to go and "read his bible." Yeah right! Soldier Scam on Tagged.com

A reader alerted us to a scammer she met on tagged.com, who calls himself Christopher Phillips. Christopher Phillips claims to be a soldier in Afghanistan and needed her to pay to get him deployed early so he can come back to the states. She called him on his scam and thank goodness didn't send him the money. His email address is crichardphillips@yahoo.com
She sent an email to the email address he gave her to send the money to with nothing in the subject and nothing in the body of the email. She received an email back from a supposed government agency asking her if she wanted to send money for the soldier. Wow, wonder how they knew? (Of course it is because it's the scammers email address, not the us governments!)
