The scammers "List" : Are YOU on it?

The "List" : are YOU on it?
It's bad enough that people have found themselves victims of sweetheart scams (scams where the con artist pretends to be in persuit of a relationship when it is only a way to get your money) but to make matters worse, they then find themselves on "The List". What is the list, and who is on it? Once you have sent ANY of these con artists money, instead of them running away laughing counting their money, the victim goes on "The List". The list contains the names, phone numbers, and dating accounts, myspace profiles etc. of people who have sent money to these scammers so that they CAN DO IT AGAIN!!! You would think they would believe that once a person has been scammed they would be harder to scam in the future, but these scammers have proven that theory WRONG. Believe it or not, people that have been scammed for money this way are very likely to send money again for another scam, ESPECIALLY when now they are SPECIFICALLY being targeted!!! My next post will be from a woman who was already a victim, who now has been scammed with another method from another one of these creeps. We should be outraged that this is happening, and something SHOULD be done about it, but unfortunately since the nigerian government does NOTHING to stop these people, there is no jail for them to go to, and no justice for the victims. This is NOT a victimless crime!

    1. I recently ran into this similar guy I believe. I agree he is good. I got angry with him a few times during our communication & questioned a few things at one point I did think he was scamming me and I am pretty good judge of character but he was able to turn the table again. I FELL FOR IT!!! Unreal and his letters he send and his in depth questions. Wanting to get to know me first. "Unconditional love" "Tell what are best thoughts growing up of your parents?" "If you could change anything what would it be" On and on. We never got to the money piece as I caught him, and almost feel for again. He had been sending me pictures. Very handsome man in 50's. But one of the photo's or 2 he sent he appeared to look younger. I forwarded them to my computer from my iphone to take a closer look. When I was blowing them up I noticed one said JPG2006. It is 2017. For some reason I hit something to zoom and it said, "Model suspect" Than another photo I was inspecting in the drop gave me an option to GOOGLE for similar pictures. All of a sudden all these pictures of himself he had been sending me even the one from "his trip to London" on a plan to handle a electrical engineer job he was awarded bid. He was listed as being from MI near me. He had to leave about a week after we were corresponding to go bid on a job in CT. He had to do presentations, workshops as they narrow down field of engineers to be awarded the project. He had told as I did have conversations with him on the phone (he had 2 phones one a TX # other a local # near me where he said he lived. He came to MI 2 years ago to take care of his 97 year uncle in poor health. He divorced about 5 years prior been in US 20 years. Ex wife and daughter went back to Italy where she originally from. He was born in Spain. Parents Spanish missioners growing up and strong in Catholic faith important to him and saw I was Catholic) He uses the words "OKAY" a lot when texting. I noticed in another lady that been scammed some messages he sent her looked similar and at the end of last sentence it had an "OKAY" He is very GOOD!! WATCH OUT!!!! He was using a man named Colin Childs in UK who is a fashion model's pictures.

    2. I fell deeply in love with a man that was a petroleum engineer. After 2 months,HE WANTED AN I Tune card. I had no idea why. Kept asking and he was on his defense. For his birthday. So i asked him how much he made because I'm under 20 thou. He said 2-3 million. I was confused. This guy is lying or nuts. So we ended up forgetting that issue and went on talking a lot. Mostly about his son Louis, and his wife was killed in a car accident 2 years ago. Etc.
Just recently he wants that I Tune card to pay for something. And by the way what's your credit score........i flipped. I asked him if he thought I was STUPID. Havnt heard from him since.

  3. He is a uncommissioned officer in Iraq, who does personal security detail their aswell. That he really should not be having a relationship on line like this and that he is breaking protocol by doing this. That he is unable to ring because of where he is stationed(Basra Iraq)so this is the only way for us to keep contact. He has a son who is living with a friend in Georgia USA and cant wait to be with his dad and new wife. He is an only child, whose parents are dead and he does not have contact with other family members. His wife cheated on him 7 years ago and left him and his son. He will permanantly be out of the army in 1 month and will be travelling to where I live to be married quickly and then we will go and get his son. His home address is the furtherest possible distance from where I live, 2 states.
He is really keen after 3 weeks talking of love, marriage, children and I am 46. He has told me their is a surprise coming for me. A parcel containing wedding rings, money, personal papers. He has told me to keep an eye out for e-mails from the courier of this package. Now the courier has contacted me asking me to send money ($2600.00 Aust.) to him. The guy is stuck in Dubai with the package because he (the courier) does not have the money to complete the trip and get to Australia. Jake is saying/pleading for me to give this guy the money because he has no access to any funds while in Iraq.

  5. Similar to anonymous who posted on July 28, 2010.. This man talking about love.. and married.. they pretend to be engineer... working in a mostly.. UK.. They are not listening to what you said.. but they assume that you are in love with them.. one of them said he has to work in New Zealand and will come and see you in 4 weeks.. he has sent you a big package of very expensive item.. then has put a big sum of money in the package.. he sent you tracking number of the package.. but when you check the shipping company informations.. they are a hoax.. you couldn't find any phone number on the phone list and about the package.. it has been hold by a custom in some certain country before it reached a destination.. the company wanted you to pay for the fees in order to release the package.. He'll try to contact you and have you sent them the mail or call them... it'll cost you about $1200.. Please check every contact he sent you.. Google is a good way to use for this kind of informations.

  6. Watch out for the scammers saying they are USA Army etc. Check out Phillip WIlliams on Youtube this video of pictures is some hapless American soldier who's photo's have been used in multiple scams. THey tried to scam me as Miller Williams, but I caught on day 3 and played along till about day 25 when they hit me for money, in the end I confronted them over the chat stated, I'd been investigating them for the 22 days etc they were happy that I had conned them back. I would never personally send money to someone over seas, I work as an investigator (fraud in another field) and never ever would I send money to someone I had just met over the net. I really feel sorry for the people that have.....The story they spun for Miller was he was in the Army (photo's looked about 30) and he had three pictures of a male child (his to his divorced wife). Was coming back to Australia to live are retiring from Army in November 2010 at 50. This photo's the guy has a birth mark on his face but they have doctored one or two not to have them. He was sending a parcel to me (money) and the dipolmat got caught in Ghana. So the story goes on. I never paid any money, I strung them along til then. One of the worst things about these guys is they often use dead army guys photos. They have no morals and no sense of right or wrong. I told them they were sick '*&&^^%^** for using dead guys photos, these guys had died trying to make the world a better place. Anyway I hope this one warning helps people. Also google US Army dating scam for more information.

I started asking him questions about his life, some things didn't add up. He was a very attractive man. Still I didn't believe what he said,it didn't make sence. So I started to Google his name, profile,& he came up in different locations.Same name different locations. I kept putting in the IP from the messsages & I found out where it was in "LAGOS NIGERIA" I went with my instincts & am glad I did....

  11. Meet this man in badoo website... his name was JOHN MOREASE he is from Houston Texas, 45 and a civil engineer. He is good looking, black american with a 14 year old kid. He told me he is a divorce for 3 years, because his wife cheated him. In our first conversation he was already upset when I told him It needs a longer time to really know a person because of our regional differences. I was taken aback but he said sorry after. Then everyday we are chatting until one day he asked my password in yahoo as one sign that we trusted each other. I told him NO. Why would I give my password to a person I just known a couple of days. Then he sent pictures of him, his ex and his son.In those pictures I already doubted how come his son looks like 7 years old in that picture where in fact he told me it's his latest picture and he is 14 years old. So I continued chatting him but remains my doubts in tact. Then one day I asked him if I could see him on cam. He said, he has no camera but he wll buy and let his friend install it for him. I doubted him the 2nd time again because how could a rich man doesn't own a webcam? In fact he told me he lives in his house with his son, one maid and one gate man. He has big money in the bank. He told me he wants to marry me and meet my parents. He will come to our country and to process everything so I could go along with him in going back to the US. In just 2 weeks he sent his flight schedule that he is coming to marry me and he brought 300,ooo usd. I told him what will you do with that huge amount of money? I asked him why don't he just bring a credit card instead because it's risky to travel with a cash in your luggage. This is my 3rd doubt from him.. Then on his travel, he told me to always turn on my celfone so he could call me easily. Then on his 3rd flight going to our place. I received a call from him telling me that he was having a problem. He was detained in Malaysia Immigration because of the money found in his luggage. He needs a 1,500 usd to pay in the immigration to be able for him get out his stuffs. I told him I don't have that amount. He told me to find a way to come up with that amount. Then he keeps on calling almost every minute. Then he sent a persons name with an adress of the immigration where I could send that amount through Western Union. Then, all of my doubts was incorporated and I begun to call all the Airlines he sent me before he flew US. Then, I found it that there's no John Morease in the list of those flights. Then, he calls me again asking me if Im able to raise those amount and I said why would I. It's all a big Lie because your name was not on those flights and he gets upset by telling me he puts his name anonymous because of the money he brought along. Then I told him why do you need to ask that money from me if your friends in US are more affluent. Asked them to help you. Then he told me he is ashamed because of what's happening to him. I told him if you are in that kind of situation you won't mind what they'll gonna say to you. What matters is that someone could help you. Then he gets mad more on me by fucking me off. He will show his face on cam if I'm gonna send him 200usd. But Im not crazy to send an amount to a person having been known in 2 weeks.
Well,Im hoping one day this people could be put in jail. Im wishing him bad luck for the rest of his life.....

  12. Beware of a Steven Daniel of Ridgewood, New Jersey listed as greatman2595 on Match.com and sweetsheeksteven@yahoo.com.

I was emailed via Match.com from him on my birthday, (April 10) a very vulnerable day for me.. He was tall dark and good looking, as I told him he looked like Colin Firth.
Beings he was from the east coast and I was from the Pacific NW I told him most people try to find someone in their area that they can date or do things with and he said he wanted to become my friend. Which I said I could handle. Also he was 47 and he said he was looking for women 45-60. I also questioned that and he said he had found that older women had it all together from his experience.

Like the others he wanted to immediately chat on yahoo messenger, which I did. I also noticed his profile changed to another photo and screename soon after we "hooked up." I questioned him about that and he said, "Oh I let my friend from Wyndham, Ohio finish out my subscription. I suppose that person is a scammer (vindicateforme) as well. Both profiles come up as inactive now. He told me he was a metallurgical engineer with his own company which I later asked the name of and got the answer Enterneet Metallurgical. I could not google his name or the business. When I asked for his website he said it was under construction. I could tell from some of his spellings that he came from an English background and when I asked him where he was from he said he was raised in Ireland with his dad (who is doesn't speak to) and that his mother was dead. He was divorced from his wife for 3 years and had a daughter Jordan who was 13. I never spoke to him on the phone although I did give him my phone number. His big thing was he was into music and yoga.

He always called me Sweetie or Sweets, Honey or Babe which I thought was rather unusual. About 3 weeks ago he said he had a job in Beijing, China he was going to for a maximum of a month. We chatted via messenger with the 16 hour time difference. On the 22nd of June he mentioned when he got back from China he want to meet me, which was exciting and scary. I told him I had trust issues from past relationship and he said "I will
trust you until you give me a reason not to trust you." Which I told him I would do the same.
On July 3rd, while chatting with him he said he was running short of cash and wanted me to send him $3,000 or more. That immediately threw up a big red flag and I said, " What kind of fool do you think, I am? Then he proceeded to give me his ex-wife's phone number so I could call his daughter Jordan and introduce myself. When I called the number 914-255-0943 all I got was a woman's voicemail with a Spanish accent. I asked if the person if they knew of a Steven Daniel could they return my call. No one every called but he messengered me saying he had heard the message and he was now having to do a lot of explaining to his ex-wife, because it sounded like he had been abducted or incarcerated. He also came me the number of his business 201-283-2024 and when I call it....again another voicemail. I did reverse searches on both phone numbers and the first one comes up as Maria Fernanda Gandarez and the second comes up as Victor Mancada.
We have not really communicated at the same time since the July 3rd chat session.

I feel cheated and violated. I really trusted this guy. If I had known 3 months ago what I know now I would have never carried on the relationship this far. I feel like I put him through alot of "what if" scenarios that I felt I knew him quite well. But when he asked for money.....my trus

He is sweet talking and all of that he is very patient and seems so loving ike the man God meant for you to be with. Sends you bible passages and all. He was good at his game. But this sista caught on and caught on quick as soon ashe started asking for money red flags went up. I kept talking to him though until I could find proof that he was a scammer. He said his dad died and he ran into some paper work that saidd his dad had a construction company in the uk that he droppes his daughter off at the nanny and headed to uk after a few weeks he said he was stuck over there he had spent every dime he had trying to get this box from a secruity company and now they wanted more money for safe keeping and delivery charges. Even sent me two emails one from a lawyer saying he needed to pay for.the box and another which had flight info for.his return trip back to states. Now heres where things changed all.of a sudden he couldnt come back because of the security company was keeping the box until he paid and then he needed me to send him money to finish paying for his ticket home so he could get more money and travel back to the uk and get the box. Oh no I dont think so he got all sad and was crying because I wouldnt send money, I even told him to go to the us embassy and ask them for help he had excused for that and everything else I suggested besides sending my hard earned money that is for my kids and I to some man I hadnt met face to face. So I started looking for him online. I found him on a couple of websites for scammers he is a smooth one ladies. If a hanks richmond emails you delete it at once do not reply. I know we all want that special man that will love us and be faithful to us and let us know we are worth something. God has that man out there for all of us. Be patient and wait when its time god will send that person to us. That person should move heaven and earth to get to us if we meet them online without us spending a dime ok ladies. Our love is worth more then all the money in the world, we should not have to send a dime for some man to get back home or get to us. If they are true and really real men we shouldnt have to pay a dime for something for them. Screw that momma you work hard for your money, keep it please. I know I did I kept mine and got rid of him. Please do the same, you work hard for your money dont give it way if they want money let them get off their lazy asses and make themselves just like we do. Much love ladies and good luck.

    BEWARE - Real charmer
asks you to send money via western union
Last contact Phone number is 0011447045787701

I met my scam artist on BlackPlanet.com a dating service online. Actually he found me,just 3mths ago. He sent me a lovely message, the I replied we exchanged email address and messenger details. Where we had been chatting and building a relationship, well that is what he lead me to believe, we even exchanged phone numbers. We rang each other many times and he would leave messages on my voice mail how he really missed me and i was everything to him and meant the world to him and soon we would be together.

He said he lives in Jacksonville, Florida and was traveling to London for work. He was trying to sell a self funded project to the government over there. After a short period of time he told me that all his funds had been used up due to registering for licenses and permits etc and he needs funds to able to finish the deal and receive a large sum of money. I fell for his manipulation and he continued to carry on with stories of the project and I continued to send money to help him. Finally he told me he had received the cheque and was ready to travel to Australia and how we where going to be together and he was going to cash his cheque here and reimburse me all the money he took from me. However of course he needed money for the airfare, he sent me flight details etc and was having a stop over in kuala lumpur Malaysia once he reached there he started ringing me again saying he needed money to get through customs, for 2 weeks this continued as he was robbed and needed more money and than had to use that money for renewing his ticket to Aust
it just went on and on. He keep promising me we would be together any day now. If I ever questioned him on anything he would say that he was hurt that i would think that, and he would says things like his word was his bond, he even swore on his mother's grave that he was telling me the truth and he would return my money and we would be blissfully happy together. He manage to scam over $6000 from me. He has profile's on a lot of sites Netlog, my space, HI5, twoo and these are only the ones i know of.
He is very convincing and doesn't care how his deceit affects your life and what financial mess he leaves you in.

He came to MI leaving TX after divorce. Originally from Spain. He was a electrical contractor and had to leave for a job awarded for 2 weeks to implement in London. We never got to money piece but I accused he one night being a scammer before I even noticed the pictures were fake he stole. 22. I just had an experience with a man I met on 2Be dating Web Site named Bobby Jones bobjones1951@hotmail.com. He is very smooth, says all the right things, focuses on a great love of God and Christian values and will romance you off your feet. He claims that he is a construction engineer working in England on a shopping mall. He also claims to be a widower whose wife died of cancer ten years ago, that he lived in Canada or that may have been for me as that is where I am from. He says that he has a son named James who is finishing up a law degree at Cambridge. We e-mailed and chatted for almost three weeks and I admit I was swept off my feet. I started to wonder when he wanted to but a house close to me sight unseen and my sister and neice started questionning his FaceBook profile. I couldn't find anything on him through a Google search - he claimed he lived in Greenville Mississippi for ten years after his wife died - I gave my son his e-mail address and he was able to track the IP address. He turned out to be Nigerian. I feel sorry for the person whose identity he stole. Thankfully no money was sent although he asked for some. I am in my mid sixties and I think that I may have been approached before by others but since I am not sure will only report what I know. He is very patient and will come across extremely heartfelt and genuine. His e-mails sound like they are written by someone who does not understand English well on occasion, but his chats are fluent - more than one person involved ?? He will say that he is coming "home" to be with you and then delays and delays, finally claiming an accident on his work site and asking for money to expedite repairs so he can come home. Please stay away from him.

When he was in Malasya the told me he needed some money to clean the construction machinery and he asked to help him. The contract was millionarie he said and he sent to me by e mail the copy of a check fo $750,000 that was the payment for the construction contract. 26. Beware of Jean Thierry a Frenchman claiming to live in Manchester England. He says he is a Civil Engineer and wants to move to America to work. Claims he interviewed earlier in the year and has an "agent" working to complete the visa paperwork and all things needed to move. Says he has a teenaged daughter that lives with his parents in France as his wife died several years ago of a heat attack. He wooed me and romanced me and told me everything I wanted to hear and portrayed himself as a devout Catholic and used religion to get close to me. He gives a date of travel including flight number and then a day or so before the flight he suddenly needs a substantial amount of money as the "agent" has added a large administrative fee at the last minute. When that doesn't work to get money out of you, he is coming anyway but then never shows up. Then he has a "friend" that is also coming to America sends an email that he is in the hospital in Amsterdam because he got into a fight with the "agent" and I'm sure the next thing I will hear is he needs money to get out of the hospital and country. Beware of this smooth talking "Frenchman"

  30. Beware of someone who is currently using Skype to portray himself as a senior U.S. Navy Officer currently im Kabul Afghanistan. This person is falsely using the identity of a very senior and well respected figure. He has created multiple Skype accounts in his name - like the real person would need them ! He is NOT who he claims to be. He hasnt figured out that the problem with using the identity of someone well known is that it can be checked where they are. The person he claimed to be spoke recently at a high profile summit on the dates when this person claimed he was still in Afghanistan. I listened for a while because I could not figure out what the scam was as he did not talk about money straight away. Believe me, he will try to ask for money to arrange for the delivery of some items as he cannot arrange it from his current location. Please don't fall for this nonsense. Anyone who was really in such a location would already have those arrangements in place. The real person has had his identity falsely used.

  31. I met this same man John Morease, he fed me the same information, he sent me a copy of his itinerary to come to the US, pictures of his family, and a copy of his ticket. I was foolish enough to send him money, and then the red flags flew up after he called me about fines he needed to pay in Malaysia’s customs immigration. I declined to send him more money he then appeared upset. I believe he was working as two people because someone called me from his phone pretending he found the phone in the bathroom and needed more money, I assured him that there would be no more money sent to him he needs to be stopped. His phone # is 601-463-19542 we talked continuously, every day and I thought he was legitimate. Since I read this page it made me feel that I should have been more cautious but I hope this phone # leads to his whereabouts. Now I really do believe that he does not live in the states. He is just a SCAM ARTIST that PREYS on ANYONE who will give him INTERNET conversation. IF HIS PICTURE CAN GET HIM STOPPED I HAVE THAT TO SEND TO WHOMEVER IT NEEDS TO GO TO. SINCE HE IS ALWAYS GETTING STOPPED IN CUSTOMS IN MALAYSIA MAYBE HE LIVES THERE, BECAUSE I DON’T BELIEVE HE LIVES IN TEXAS.

  33. On June 5th,2010, I've received an e-mail from this man, his name is Jones Fernando Grisham and he's divorced and also a single parent of one twelve year child a daughter her name is Betty from his only marriage.
He has shared with me, that he was born in Brazil and grew up there as well and when he grew up, he has shared with me, that his mother is an American, and that he has had two older brothers and one sister.
And that he's the youngest of the family and his mother was a single mother and has raised them all and that they are all Christians and were brought up through the church.
He went to the University where he has studied to become an engineer and he's self employed and he has an contract to work in Lagos, Nigeria for afew months.
As I have gotten to know him through e-mail messages and through telephone conversations, well he sounded very promising and he really wanted to to have a long distanted romance with me, and I really wasn't too sure about that because he lived to faraway from where I came from.
He asked me, to give him a chance and see where things might lead to and two months after we've talked over the phone, that's when he started asking me, for money and I kept on stalling and stalling, and I refused to send any thing to him.
Then I've noticed that he's on face book and that's when he has seen my add on there and he put me, down as his friend, and I've noticed that he's quiet a womanizer and a real charmer too.
It really has made me, so very angry towards him, because he wanted more women and he never really loved me, at all.
His e-mail address is jones_grisham@yahoo.com and that's the e-mail address that he's still using at this present time.
He kept on making promises to me, that we'd be getting married and spending the rest of our lives together and being so happy.
I don't think that I truly ever could trust this man ov ever believe in any thing that he says any more.
If this man really was for real, then why? has he kept on asking me, for money and also making death threats on my yahoo web site???

This message applies mostly to women, since I think this Mark Forrester dude is targeting women in the engineering field...he messaged me on LinkedIn stating that he is strangely attracted to me and would like to know more of who I am, and that his heart "winks" for me...whatever that means. First of all, any sign of attraction on LinkedIn is just wrong, and the way this person writes definitely shows that he is not from England, as written on his profile. Just sending a notice of caution to all those who get contacted by him through LinkedIn, it is without a doubt a scam.

  44. Just had to deal with one named Michael Gaertner from Gloster, LA. Very handsome. Said he was a civil engineer, currently working in Southeast Asia on a suspension bridge, would be home in 3 weeks. We IM'd just about every day. Said everything right but I asked all the questions about him. When I asked him if he had any questions for me, he would say that he was better talking in person. Said his wife passed away. When I asked what she was like, he didn't want to talk about it. After 2 1/2 weeks, he asked me for $8,000 which he needed to get machines at the port because his 'personal assistant' gave him the wrong cost to have them shipped from China and he was unable to come up with the money over there. He needed them to finish the job. Nobody would give him a loan. When I told him I didn't have the money, and secondly, even if I did, it wouldn't be wise of me to send him money without even knowing him except for via Yahoo Messenger, he got angry and said that I wasn't being fair and that I can't take money to heaven. Funny thing is, I really didn't have the money! And, I am not an idiot. Makes me very sad for I wish I knew whose pictures the scammer used for their fake profile....I would like to find that guy for I think he is very cute! Lol!

These guys (if they are guys) currently inhabit over 60% yes, SIXTY percent of ALL dating websites.

Said Romeos start out saying they're British, or French or some such romantic heritage just to explain they're Nigerian accent. they also claim to be engineers, construction and/or company owners.

Next, they say they love you to the moon and back; you're their one and only; you;re a beautiful woman . . . blah, blah blah and on and on with mushy poetry (that they've plagiarized).

NEXT, they fall victim to a host of issues from stolen wallet, jailed/need bail, need to pay workers, need to buy materials, need to pay fees to get a big payout . . . and on and on it goes.

Please slap your brain back in place, ladies and men. These leaches love your MONEY. NOT YOU!

Those kids you see on video? Not his. Their tuition due? Not true and/or not YOUR problem. Get a grip, take a deep breath and move ON.

Move on to the not-so-perfect guy.

He is just one of nearly 100 men posing as army men, deployed to the middle east, men who have flowery messages are getting the messages from other scammers. I pulled my profile from Badoo. That is the worst dating site I have found for scammers. Just be leery of men, or women, who say they love you too quickly, true love, I believe, comes with time.

  54. Met this guy on Mate1 profile name Macloveme001 and his name was Mac. Smooth talker, love and marriage within couple of weeks (they have to move fast in order to get money). Babe, sweets, sweetie, hunnie, love of my life etc etc BS! Every problem under the sun, sick child then dead, lost passport, mugged and robbed can't pay for anything. Like every scammer their profile says USA or UK but when you check IP address it's from Nigeria or Ghana and when they call with a mobile from Nigeria or Ghana they say they under under contract! All I can say after my experience is CHECK EMAIL IP's and they're somewhere in Africa and don't be fooled that the person at the other end also doesn't have a heavy accent and even speaks English very well because as I experienced they are working in gangs and from Nigeria, Malaysia, UK, Dubai and South Africa where my "beloved" is at the moment and going to prison for the 3rd time lol! Problems with customs and governments, hospitalized etc etc. Cries a hell of a lot and states he is going to kill himself all the time because the brat can't get money. He snaps and gets angry when you confront him and after sending money and then saying NO more, he then stated "Bitch walk into the bank and get the money to send to me"! What a scamming bitch! He targets Australian women and 45-60 y/o and even states that his mother told him he would marry an Australian woman some day. What a disgusting mother to have brought a scammer into this world! BEWARE AND DON'T SEND MONEY NO MATTER HOW CHARMING AND CONVINCING THEY ARE!

  55. Funlife80 on HowAboutWe dating site is a professional scammer. Posts profile that he lives in San Diego. His name is Adrian "Kris" Martinez. He is a 56 year old single father to an 8 year old daughter, "Kathy." After a few conversations on the dating site he will ask for your personal email. Shares that he is a civil engineer, working out of the country on a 3 month project (not sure how an 8 year old would travel with him), He is raising his child due to ex and her fiancé being involved in a horrific car accident which still is horrible for him to speak about. He is an only child who lost his parents at a young age and was raised by his uncle yada, yada yada -- asks that you consider not talking with anyone else on the site as he is fascinated by you. I just reported this to the dating site as a scammer and deleting him from my contact list.

  57. I met someone on Match.com named Eric Ashby/ ericashby50@yahoo.com. He told me he was a businessman making a multimillion dollar sale in the import/export of heavy construction equipment. He is German born but lives in the states. Says he's recently relocated to Portland OR but lived in Florida where he has an ex wife and 10 yr old daughter. Daily emails, multiple texts, admissions of love and lust. In Amsterdam but talks of returning soon and making plans to meet me. Out of the blue, customs in Amsterdam wants more taxes and he wasn't prepared. Worse, his bank account is blocked due to a stolen credit card. Insinuates that he needs $4,200 to pay the taxes and sell his "goods" so he can come home and we can start our life together. I tell him no as I've just paid taxes, property taxes and a lawyer retainers' fee for my divorce. I suggest Quicken Loans or Fundme.com. No, none of that is commented on, just how distressed he is. What happened to the optimistic persona he presented on Match.com? What has happened to the confident businessman? And for someone with that much business acumen, he could certainly come up with 4,200. I did not send him the money and miss the attention but know that I beat him.

  61. Hi everyone. A week ago I got rid of an Erik Van Erne. Claiming to be of Swedish/German origin. His father is widowed and lives in Sweden. Erik claimed to be a gemologist living in San Diego. Currently building a warehouse for gems. He had to leave for Malaysia to purchase more gems. First night there was robbed. He fell in love with me in the first week calling me "dear" and "Babe", Never used my name when he communicated and failed to answer simple questions eg what is you favourite food? Claimed he had 2 daughter Michelle 13yrs and Shirley 11yrs. Both lived with his ex wife whom had fallen in love with a younger man at work and he divorced her 8 years ago. I had just had the experience of another conman named Damian Antonio who claimed to be from Ohio. He was of Scottish origin and had custody of his 16 year old son Leonardo. He had a hardware store in Ohio and lived in USA for 15 years he claimed. I have lost time on these clowns nothing else. I had red flags go up and tried to make allowance however, there were similarities in the manner they wrote. Pay attention ladies. As Oprah Winfrey has always said "if it waddles like a duck, quacks like a duck then it is a duck and not a chicken!!" Keep your hard earned monies girls.
    We are vulnerable not foolish.
We want love not to be cheated. We need to band together and warn all our sisters of these lazy men who are only resourceful at conning honest women. I believe there are good people in this world and thank those two clowns for their lessons as today I saw through a scam by a guy calling himself Nicolas Charles in New York. I researched him to find another woman had dobbed him in, so, thanks for that info which was priceless and no damage done. I had joined interpals penpals and attracted this scum bag!! 78. Look out for a guy calling himself " Kelly Samuel " on Badoo. He claims his wife died 4 years ago and he has a daughter around 11 years old. Uses "Babes" a lot. He will ask you to go onto Viber. I am quite cautious and after chatting for a while I asked him to send me a photo of himself with my full name on a piece of paper in big black letters next to him. I have done this to a few guys only to have them not answer me back at all lol. However "Kelly" said he would rather Skype me. So we skyped and it was the guy in the photos. We spoke for around two months when he said he wanted to meet me. Problem he apparently lived in Croydon London born in Germany brought up in the USA and now living in the UK. He said he was going to fly over to see me in South Africa. I told him that was quite a move to make to meet what I still call almost a complete stranger but he insisted.I saiud kewl call me when you arrive I will fetch you from the airport. Still thinking yea sure lol. Any way the night he was going to fly in re 25th Nov 2015 he sent me a pic of his bags packed passport on bed etc. I thought gee whizz this guy is actually gonna come over . I went to the airport at 09h30 am on the morning of the 26th as I only live 10 min from it no skin off my nose I though. Well I waited about an hour an a half and I got a call from an SA number, he claimed to have left his phone at home for his daughter who was staying with his life long friend Gary and had loaned a fellow passengers phone just to call me to say they had just stepped off the plane and were on there was through customs and would see me shortly. I won't lie I was quite excited. Well after waiting another hour I got a tax pissed off I mean how long does it take to get off a bloody aircraft! Not that long that's for sure. I was getting ready to leave OR Tambo International in Johannesburg where I live and he new that!! When he called again to say he was stopped at customs for bringing in too much money into the country. He gave the phone to the so called customs guy for me to speak to. I asked what the problem was and he proceeded to give me run down of how he could not let this passenger in to Cape Town with 40 000 British pounds and for him to get through customs he required a South African Bank Account number. Well long story short I said there was no way I was going to give my Bank Account details to a total stranger. When the so called customs guy gave the phone back to "Kelly" I told him he was talking noncense they would not stop him for that amount of money . he said I must pls call him back and it was not his phone. I also asked him why he had flown to Cape Town International when he knew very well I was in Jhb. He said he has a connected flight to Jhb that's how his travel agent booked the flights. I told him if he was in Cape Town it would take at min another 3 hours to get to Jhb. He said he had to go and would call me back. I said I was going back home if he actually arrived in Jhb No call was forthcoming it was a scam. I am glad I am so cautious and not nieave he has removed his pics of his status on both WhatsApp and Viber and does not answer the phone lol. I sent a message to the phone he called me from and said I am not an idiot happy fliught Pounds was fibe

When he got there & was preparing to leave, he claims that somehow 9 extra barrels were on the ship & he got arrested for trying to steal them. They let him out of jail but kept his passport, ID & such. He claimed to have 2 weeks to come up with $6000 to pay for the extra barrels. Myom sent him close to $2000, the another $2300. He says a friend is helping him too. Oh and the money orders he had her send to a "friend" who lives 2 hours from us & is supposed to forward the money to him. He says he lives in NY, his parents were from Germany I think, but have both passed away & he sold their business to pay for this little venture of his. When I asked, my mom says he's coming home 2 weeks ago, now he's waiting on his taxes to get there and working a job to help pay fines, I'm assuming. Hea told her that when he gets back he's coming to VA to meet her & her family, then wants her to go to NY with him for awhile. Mom says he hasn't asked for more money but I just found out from my very angry cousin that mom borrowed $3000 from him mom to send to the man! He says he loves her & they're gonna get married this spring/summer. I don't believe any of it. I believe they met on a dating site. Then he will systematically bit by bit empty your bank account and use emotional abuse to control you and make you feel inadequate if you ever question his actions. He claims to live in Milan and be in the UK shirt term. He works in cahoots with a woman he claims is just a friend but they really seek out vulnerable people to get money and then when suspicion creeps in just disappear into the night and block all your calls and messages. I was contacted by a man calling himself David Anderson, he sent me a friend request via Facebook.

His FB page states he is from Italy and currently living in Washington state. He states that he works for Shell as an oil rig contractor. He said he found my profile by doing a search for a friend with the same name as mine.

I only spoke to him over Messenger and did not accept his friend request. I suspected him right away as he was laying the compliments on pretty thick. He also called me over the Messenger app. He was fawning over me, oh you are so pretty, you have a beautiful smile, I am enjoying talking to you, blah blah blah. At the end of the call he asked for my phone number which I did not provide.

Luckily for me I had heard and seen enough about scammers that I did not fall for this.

To everyone out there. Do not accept friend request from people you don't know. Beware of people who are quick to compliment you or start relationships with you. And finally DO NOT SEND MONEY.

  101. I met someone on a dating site named Maleek. He said his wife died and he has a son in the French-speaking country learning linguistics and he has a daughter at home in Chico. And he told me he had to go to Amsterdam for 4 to 5 weeks because he said communications engineer. Then he told me that he lost his debit card and he can't use any money from his account he didn't ask me for money but he asked if I could send his son some money for his school for a couple weeks which I did not do and then I thought about it and sent his son $100 supposedly if he does have a son there. I just wanted to see what would happen after I sent the money. If he's legit then great but I'm on the alert just in case. I'm waiting to see what will progress with this. He has no idea that I'm cautious and I'm playing the "dumb" woman role.. He hasn't asked me for any money since because I straight up told him if he did that I would not ever speak to him, which he didn't like. So now he's supposedly in Amsterdam still and I'm waiting to see what will happen with that. He said he's trying to get his boss/company to put his money into Friend's account. Because I told him I didn't have a bank account right away just in case he possibly got any ideas that he was going to put money into my account. I'm just waiting to see if he's legit or not because he really hasn't asked me for a bunch of money hasn't told me a lot of stories other than his wife died. But still you have to be very cautious because there's a lot of creeps out there. I've been approached by many men who say they're in the army they are God loving blah blah blah and I see right through it

  106. Has anyone heard of Richard Torres? My mother-in-law is in love with this man but they have never met. She has sent this man so much money and he claims he is getting some kind of lump some of money in a coyple weeks and wants her to open a bank account with him. Then he will finally move in after he gets his money. She goes as far as sending him all of her online bankong information and let's him withdraw what he wants out of there. He always says he sends her money but he doesn't. Always a different excuse. He keeps saying he will be here soon and she really believes him. It's crazy!
